Lived in Ogden, UT for about 2 1/2 years.
Love the place(go back every year to snowboard at Snowbasin Resort).
The people-Most are great, but some of the LDS people are VERY judgemental.

I don't get this thread. It's a generalisation against a generalisation or something. See, I'm already confused.

My guess is that this was supposed to be one of those reverse psycology threads where the original poster was actually trying to instigate Mormon bashing.

I put Mormons on the same playing field as scientologists.

A cult by any other name... usually has good PR people.

Probably because you don't know anything about them besides the slanderous rumors.

Works for me. I laugh whenever I see any religionists try to make fun of another religion. They're all wacky.

I just think Catholics are a special breed. They actually believe they're literally eating the flesh and drinking the blood of Christ. Woohoo!

    I can understand that.
I felt the same way the first couple of months I was there.
Then I meet some cool people.

Still remember Ed at The Canyons in 1998. "So, there's a bunch of Normans here. And, Dennis Rodman says 'HI'" classic Ed humor.

While Catholicism teaches that "a miracle" happens during the sacrament of Communion, they do not teach that it literally turns into flesh and blood.

Its all metaphoric. It's a "sacrifice', and is symbolic.

And not a single Catholic I know actually believes it is a Jesuscookie.

However, that being said, the Church adopted that ritual after some of the pagan rituals that were prevalent duing the time of the early Chuch in order to get them to convert.

Besides the aunt, uncle and 4 cousins who are all mormons... nope, I don't know anything at all. All I know is that one of my cousins was dis-invited to his own brother's wedding because he had "strayed" from the church.

right, i don't know anything about mormons. so i cannot comment on your statement.

however, i'm very curious to know your reasons. And when you say they are brainwashers, please expand. how do THEY affect YOU in every day life?
so that you would call them a scum.

Personally i would call a scum a person who is involved in some kind of criminal activity, like thieveing, raping, attacking someone for no reason at all.
