Nosotros nunca escuchamos la voz adentro
  • William Blake and Rumi...
    Nothing is real
    Everything is permitted
    - Hassan I Sabbah

  • Rumi,
always increases the square footage of my heart when I allow him in.

    Cradle My Heart
    Last night,
I was lying on the rooftop,
    thinking of you.
    I saw a special Star,
and summoned her to take you a message.
I prostrated myself to the Star
and asked her to take my prostration
    to that Sun of Tabriz.
So that with his light, he can turn
    my dark stones into gold.
I opened my chest and showed her my scars,
I told her to bring me news
    of my bloodthirsty Lover.
    As I waited,
    I paced back and forth,
until the child of my heart became quiet.
The child slept, as if I were rocking his cradle.
Oh Beloved, give milk to the infant of the heart,
and don't hold us from our turning.
    You have cared for hundreds,
don't let it stop with me now.
At the end, the town of unity is the place for the heart.
Why do you keep this bewildered heart
    in the town of dissolution?
I have gone speechless, but to rid myself
    of this dry mood,
oh Saaqhi, pass the narcissus of the wine.

    i don't have any

    i don't have any favorites

    it is not fare

    some get all the atention

i wont let my laziness judge the others

what everybody really wants is to find a choosen one

to be the god between the others

find in his words what we already know

what unites the human race, what we all have in common

unite minds from a world of distance

telling what we want to hear

    just joking
It was a dream, not a nightmare. A beautiful dream I could never imagined in a thousand nods. I saw this girl next to me, she wasn't beautiful until she smiled. And I felt that smile come at me in heat waves following. Soaking through my body and out my finger tips in shafts of color. And I knew somewhere in the world, somewhere, that there was love for me.

    Jim Carrol
  • Cronyn, Frost & Souster come to mind.

And I like many of the folks who post here as well. :D

a poem and a song are two completely different things
sort of like third or fourth cousins
both good, but not really related at all

to me this is not true to start a song you write on paper or for the most part start with with words ( i know that some start with music then add words) but to me its poetry. but each person has there own opinion so i respect yours but im sticking to my opinion that song writers are poets:)

i never said song writers weren't poets
Bob Dylan is a perfect (and maybe the only) example of that
i said songs and poems are different

and if just writing things on paper makes something a song or poem then everything is a song or poem and that is so far from teh truth too

Definitely has to be Goulet. He keeps threatening to disappear and then comes back with an even stronger outing than before. For this.......he is one of, if not the greatest poets of all time.
You've changed your place in this world!

How does the soft caress of cotton hugging your jingles feel?

You know, asides from being snug.

Is it like having the skin of a woman's palm gently squeezing them?

Or is it more like a your jingles are being jammed by the rough hand of a man feeling?

    :D

    Good luck this weekend! ;)

I wish you many beautiful, gentle, womanly, gropings!

And maybe, if you're extra-super-good, you'll get a spanking out of the deal! ;) But we won't push it just yet.

Womanly gropings first, spanks later. :D

i think spanking is more of a third date type of thing
i'm not expecting anything on the first date beyond
    heavy petting
