Yeah, Morrissey is a fucking homo prick. Cant stand his opera like vocals, his miserable attitude, and his terrible music.
why does your reason for hating him always have to be a homophobic thing? can't you just hate his music? jeez, I thought it was the 21st century...

anyway, I love Maynard's vocals but I do get why you and others wouldn't like Tool because of them. Kind of an acquired taste.

I will agree with Jane's... Never liked Farrell's voice but still like the band. Three Days is a masterpiece and even his voice is tolerable on that.

The Black Crowes. I know I'm in the minority but I can't stand his voice, it just grates on me. I also agree with the Police. I always thought I didn't like them much just because they were so overplayed, but in retrospect I really don't care much for Sting's voice. I'll also throw in MMJ and yes I know I'm in the minority yet again! :)

im pretty sure he's from indiana, which would explain a lot. both the hatred of "townie" bands like buckcherry (self-loathing) and the hatred of anything remotely "homo" (cannot escape his prejudices).

for me, i can't stand anyone in the vein of blink-182 or nickelback vocal-wise. the high whiny punk-pop vocals or the deep faux-dramatic hard rock voice. i also can't stand country twang. it's why i can only handle the drive-by truckers in small doses and don't like kid rock's last album.

I dislike Buckcherry intensely but I appreciate your sentiment :) I just like my cock-led rock music to be more original, like The Jesus Lizard (almost literally, singer used his testicles as a percussion instrument :D)

    Rush
    Placebo
    Death Cab For Cutie
    Decemberists

I can't stand their nasal sounding voices. Placebo and Decemberists actually have a couple of okay songs though.

  • Mute Math, musically, is amazing...but the singer's voice totally turns me off...however, the live show is worth seeing despite this...

Smashing Pumpkins. Billy Corgan has got such an annoying whiny drone... sounds like a banshee.

agreed. he nails it on some songs though, but in general i can't listen to him for extended periods.

Corgan's voice doesen't put me off the Pumpkins completely, becuase they're an extremely talented band and when Corgan does it right, it's absoutely amazing. But sometimes he takes it a bit too far I think and it just grates on you.

The guy from Kings of Leon needs to tone it down. I don't know what 'it' is but his voice is just annoying. They aint bad live though.

I know a friend who refuses to listen to Soundgarden or Audioslave purely because he absoutely hates Chris Cornell's voice.

Ha Ha Ha! I can see not listening to Audioslave, but Soundgarden?

I dunno, some of Soungarden's earlier stuff is pretty alienating. I dig Cornell's voice but I can see why some other people don't.

Rush is the only one that immediately comes to mind for me.
