I am pretty sure, it will end up being an amazing show because it will be for him, in his honor.0 -
The show is definitely on, Dave just came out to announce the opening band.0
-
i just hope tonights crowd understands the significance of them playing tonight and remains respectful... based on the handful of DMB shows ive been to, their casual fanbase doesnt seem like the type that would sincerely sympathize or allow them to appropriately grieve... im sure word will get out to everyone there though0

Apparently not. He just announced the opening band and then left.
For what it's worth, it's as official as can be...

Very shook up about this. I don't think it's really hit me yet and I am still in shock. Saw DMB 3 times this summer and each of them were some of the greatest moments of my life. 2 shows were with LeRoi, 1 was with his replacement Jeff Coffin while he was injured. They are and forever will remain the greatest band on earth and they'll never be the same with LeRoi.0

This is of course a statement for another day, but it's quite possible Dave Matthews Band ended today.
And, DMB's site has been remade into a memorial...

Oh I know, as selfish and lame as it sounds, the end of DMB is on my mind and that adds to all of this. There's something about this band that means so much to me that I can't explain.0 -
WOW!
I just came home to check out the EV setlist, and ended up seeing the news in this thread. I am a HUGE DMB fan, and have a love for their music in the same respect as PJ, because they make the music that they love, and try to give their fans the best performance night in and night out. DMB is the only other band that I follow around like PJ.
All the best thoughts to his family, his friends, and the rest of the band.10c #TBD

Man :( I'm not a DMB fan, but I definitely respect them as musicians.. I can't begin to imagine how I would feel if a member of PJ or another band I really like died. Condolences to DMB fans :(0

God bless Leroi...just pure sadness, so young..."Everytime I hear that melody, something breaks inside" -- T.W.0

Long time DMB fan. He was my favorite in the whole band.
RIP Leroi0 -
This is horrible. His sax use to put me in a wicked mood. I'm not sure how his sound is going to feel now (not to be selfish). He was my 2nd favorite member in the band behind Carter.
Here is a 22 minute song in his memory - https://www.yousendit.com/download/Q01FZHltcWYyWGV4dnc9PQ0 -
Oh, NO!!! I can't believe this. How sad for the band and his family.Walking can be a real trip

So freaking sad.

antsmarching.org, a DMB fan site, has like 2,000 people trying to view the forum right now and has crashed. Any updates on tonight's show?0

Well, this sucks.
It's a blessing the band just happened to be in LA when LeRoi passed. I really hope they got to be with him and/or his family today.0 -
My prayers go out to the band, LeRoi's family, and to all the DMB fans out there.Rock on!
