Here is a 22 minute song in his memory - https://www.yousendit.com/download/Q01FZHltcWYyWGV4dnc9PQ

Trust me download this song. I didn't upload it for nothing. It's by far the best live DMB song ever!

Leroi has some sweet sounds early on, until carter takes control - so trust me download it!

antsmarching.org, a DMB fan site, has like 2,000 people trying to view the forum right now and has crashed. Any updates on tonight's show?

They'll probably be going on in about ten-fifteen minutes. Just as an aside, anyone can go to dmbsetlist.com or https://whsec1.davematthewsband.com/setlists/setlists_popup.asp?strShowID=1286346

to recieve set updates about tonight's show.

thanks for that... usually get a link from am.org.

He had a punctured lung that he was having problems recovering from I think. I am pretty sure he went back into the hospital a few weeks ago.

Thanks Cutback. I am interested to see what Dave says and how the show is. I can't even imagine how emotional it would be to be there........

I got my info from the warehouse. They just posted it about an hour ago... if that.

Show should be beginning any minute now.

As I've said, good luck to the band this evening. I only hope they and the audience find strength through music.

I won't keep updating this thread, but they just opened with the song Bartender. Considering the subject matter of that song, I don't imagine how they can keep it together.
  • digster, I was just thinking the same thing. As soon as I refreshed the setlist page, I got goosebumps all over.

Such a sad thing - but a beautiful way to remember their friend. Let's hope the audience gives the boys the support they need tonight.

    Bartender to open...that's chilling...

    If I go,
    Before I'm old.
    Oh, brother of mine,
Please don't forget me if I go.

    Bartender, please,
    Fill my glass for me.
With the wine you gave Jesus,
That set him free after three days in the ground.

    Oh, and if I die,
    Before my time.
    Oh, sweet sister of mine,
Please don't regret me if I die.

    Bartender, please,
    Fill my glass for me.
With the wine you gave Jesus,
That set him free after three days in the ground.

    Bartender, please,
    Fill my glass for me.
With the wine you gave Jesus,
That set him free after three days in the ground.

    I'm on bended knees,
    I pray bartender please

    When I was young,
    I didn't think about it.
Now I can't get it out of my mind.

    I'm on bended knees,
    Father, please.

Oh, and if all this gold,
    Should steal my soul away.
    Oh, dear mother of mine,
Please redirect me if this gold...

    Bartender, you see,
    The wine that's drinking me,
Came from the vine that strung Judas,
    From the Devil's tree.
His roots deep, deep in the ground.

    Bartender, you see,
    The wine that's drinking me,
Came from the vine that strung Judas,
    From the Devil's tree,
It's roots deep, deep in the ground, ground.

    I'm on bended knees,
    Oh, Bartender, please.

    I'm on bended knees
    Father, please.

    When I was young,
    I didn't think about it.
Now I just want to run and hide.

I'm on bended knees, oh Bartender, please,
    Bartender, please...
  • I don't know how they could do that one without losing it. Seriously.

Cutback, take it all in and be safe - look forward to your updates tomorrow.

Damn I am in tears just reading the lyrics and listening to them on my PC, I cannot imagine how they can hold it together to perform these songs.

    the greatest bartender ever
  • cutback, as strange as it may sound, you are so lucky to be in attendance tonight. Take it all in - as a long, longtime fan, I can't wait to read your thoughts after the night is over. I'm interested to see what the band has to say about LeRoi...

If I hadn't lost it already, I know I would when he starts the wailing about 7 or 8 minutes in.

Word from the DMB boards is that the entire band was crying throughout Bartender.

it signs me in but i can't open any threads...

    I hate their chat room.

    I'm going to sleep. :(

Not surprised; with the news about Leroi, I'm sure they're taking alot more traffic then they're used to.
