The thread title is vague. Vaccinated against what, exactly. I'd need to see which illness its for, and then I'd need to see some information on risks vs. benefits of the immunization in order to make an educated decision.

The government already requires that everyone be vaccinated in a roundabout way. You're a kid, you most likely get vaccinated. The autism-vaccination link has been kicked to the curb. I've gotten all my vaccinations, and what have I gotten for my trouble? I haven't gotten loads of childhood diseases. I did get chickenpox. I wish that the vaccine for that had been available way back when.
The government isn't likely to require everyone get vaccinated. It would like to track what happens to those that don't get vaccinated. And, as an added plus, having people not get vaccinations would be an excellent way to reduce unemployment claims now and health care costs and Social Security payments in the future! Rest easy. Your government will not force you to take care of yourself, as Phillip Morris' good health will attest.
i am fortunate to have parents that refused mandated government vaccinations........i enjoy my walker and braces, due to the polio virus that could have been prevented.
seriously.........polio is not that bad, it gets me front row at pj shows.
live and let live...unless it violates the pearligious doctrine.
From what I have read, those who refuse will be quarantined. No work, no malls, no concerts, no public socializing. Are you still willing????
I have several great sites for those of you preparing..dehydrated foods, survival gear, everything, just send me a PM if you want more info
a friend of mine brought up a point, I can't get out of my head. He said they would start with the elderly, hoping it will wipe out a large amount of the people since social security is almost used up!
Let me make sure I've got this straight... the vaccine is actually a fatal poison they (not sure who they are yet) want to give us to... kill us? (why?) So they are going to commit a mass genocide/euthanasia of elderly people in the guise of a vaccine to save some $ for social security?

A. Why do people think the government is going to mandate vaccines for everyone? Doesn't seem likely to me. Seems more likely that they'll be rationing them.
B. If the professional medical/public health communities conclude that vaccinations are necessary, I think it would dangerously arrogant of us lay people to think we know better.
C. Why are people so quick to disregard the expertise of public health officials, who have dedicatd their lives to protecting the health of the population, just because they are on the government payroll? It's not like it's politicians making the public health decisions (except in the case of women's reproductive health); it's actualy medical professionals. Would I get a vaccination just because Nancy Pelosi thought it best? No. But I also wouldn't disregard the advice of my doctor just because he's part of the CDC.

A-B-C = is how logical and rational people think. but sadly, a small (yet seemingly growing) part of American society is taken to the sensationalist cult-like following of people like Alex Jones. its brainwashing. all we can do is hope its just a fad and the group doesn't get much larger.
It wouldn't be surprising if this happens. The government is already telling us what kind of cars we can and cannot drive... we have no choice about withholding medical treatment for our children (the family that has decided against chemo ...)

Just because Alex Jones SCREAMS IT (and he loves to scream it), doesn't mean it isn't true. Ignore Alex for a second-- Look at where this country is heading completely objectively-- do not the government and the media COMPLETELY overreact anytime this country faces a problem? Classic examples: 9/11 gave us the war in Iraq. Car companies cry that they're going bankrupt, and we bail them out with billions. Banks are given billions at a whim at the taxpayer's expense. The Swine Flu is still being touted as a PANDEMIC, and I can count the number of dead from this country on one hand. How far away is a forced vaccination given this country's record of completely going over the top with every decision it makes, especially when you have the media doing a PR campaign for it?
Ask anyone in the military how many needles they get stuck with once they join. Do they have a choice? They're practically guinea pigs. I understand that maybe some of them MIGHT be a good if one were to travel around the world and expose themselves to disease that we don't have here-- but this is the problem EXACTLY-- there's always good intentions behind the government's monster policy blunders. It doesn't change the fact that they always turn out to be blunders.
Listen, they may not be trying to hang us as AJ and some others would put it... But why give them the rope?

I absolutely agree. we all are guilty of overreacting. but I think the Flu puts a different type of overreaction in people. this recent swine flu was apparently a never seen type of virus. a mutation or something.
think about it, 1918 really wasnt that long ago and it killed 40 MILLION people. in todays number that might be 80-100 MILLION? (just a guess).
thats a scary scary thing. I think sometimes the worry is justify when it comes to unseen flu viruses that show up.

I hear ya. but I also think scb is right. I think the medical industry and those who are responsible for vaccines adn whatnot, really are looking out for the well being of mankind.

I agree that the medical community more or less probably has our best interests in mind, particularly our doctors and nurses who know us... But think about is how poorly the entire healthcare system is run right now. Doctors barely have time for their patients anymore, there's plenty of bad shit being prescribed right now as a result of it-- the public is pretty much the "Beta testing" of hundreds of drugs and vaccines as it is right now. Now, put this all in a National Emergency scenario... How much time are medical professionals going to have to review what they are injecting people with? Some of them may refuse to stick anyone with any needles until they know for sure what they are doing, but some will unquestionably do what they're told, and put blind faith in the vaccine manufacturer. It's not the doctors that worry me so much as the drug companies.

well whatareyagoonado ya know? its a scary complex world we live in. dealing with something like flu and vaccines is very difficult and dangerous. its been proven before that the flu can wipe us very quickly. all we can do is research this stuff as much as we can and find a trusted doctor or source to help guide us.
my point, is that this Alex Jones crowd is not helping anything. its not that what they say isn't true, some of it probably is, its all in their approach.

I'magonnatellyawhatI'magonnado... I'm going to do my research and weigh my options, just like everyone else should. I definitely will not be first in line for any flu shot... I need to see bodies dropping before I take it.
If you ask me, the news from prison planet is equally accurate, insane, inaccurate, and believable as anything I hear on any mainstream news station. These days, who can you believe? Everyone has an agenda-- it's all stranger than fiction.

agreed. but just look at the sun logo thread from drifitin. that is the type of shit they talk about. but I ceratinly dont want to shut him up. I love the fact that he is allowed a forum, a voice. this is America and I would never deny his right to freedom of speech.
but anyway, I hope everyone does their own research as well.

I most definitely don't want him to shut up either. I love me some Drifting. His knowledge on anything to do with the Fed Res and his interpretation on the constitution is right on.

I wasn't talking about drifting, I meant Alex Jones. drifting has feel off the deep end, which is sad because he really is a smart guy. hopefully if he ever comes to his senses he will keep up the fight the against the Fed and defending of the constitution. instead off all the pointless wacky BS he has been debating recently.

Hardly. The reason the number can be inflated is because our population has skyrocketed due to longer lives and the best medical options in the world. What was your medical option if you got a swine flu in 1918? Leeches to suck the bad blood out? A cold wet towel for the fever? Compare that to what we've got now... there is nothing scary about any of these "pandemics" that roll around conveniently every spring. Avian flu, SARS, swin flu... it's all a joke. I don't think it's a plot to kill old people and save $ on social security, but I do believe it is a combination of 1. our tendency to overreact (which I believe is mainly due to the fact that terrifying alarmist headlines sell more ads and 2. I do believe drug companies and the medical community have some great networks for getting these stories pumped up because it's good for their business.

Here's something pretty scary. What if something was accidentally wrong with some of these vaccinations:

I do believe drug companies and the medical community have some great networks for getting these stories pumped up because it's good for their business.
so you dont think some type of flu can kill millions like past pandemics?
now third world........different situation.
if we do see bodies stacked up in first world nations..............too late.
i may be wrong.
I certainly hope so (obviously) but damn, maybe its just me, but I have a high level of respect for shit like that.
Not here in the US, no.
