I'll say this, I've known John Mayer for about 20 years, we grew up together in CT and he's allowed me to see many great shows and meet some amazing artists.

One thing that I never thought I'd see in a million years is his name up against Eddie, Neil, Bruce and McCartney for a Grammy. Just a very strange feeling. Gravity is a great song though.

no i was referring to the dumb ass statements. but anyways if John Mayer showed up at a PJ show you'd prob be the first here to proclaim how wonderful it was. He's a world class musician who is nominated for an award (sort of, it's only a Grammy) with 4 other world class musicians. You originally said: "which one of them doesn't belong with the others?" And later clarified it was John Mayer, just saying you're an ignorant douche is all, have a good night;)

By the way, John is a big Pearl Jam fan, if you ever hear some of his high school demos (his band was called Villanova Junction), some people think that he's trying to sing like Eddie.

His favorite PJ album is "No Code"......just for the record.

Mine too, lol, my 1st intro to John Mayer was his radio hits, but then I was forced into watching him with Clapton (my dad is a DIE HARD fan, so much so he named his 1st born Eric) and I must say watching him play is something amazing, the way he and his guitar interact is something I've never seen before.

Actually not because you don;t like him, more for the fact that you are uninformed about it

What's the over/under on Eddie winning this catagory? :p

he'll definitely be the underdog. Mayer might beat them all!

but all you know about me is that I don't like John Mayer...you're just assuming I'm uninformed about him, which I'm not. Just don't like him...

I look at that list of five and, to me, one name sticks out like a sore thumb...it should be noted that when I asked my douchey question of which of these doesn't belong, you knew exactly who I meant...

It's amazing how Grammy actually recognized talent this year.
By the way John Mayer is pretty cool. He was on Dave Chappelle show once and he cracked me up as how serious he was as he played guitar next to Dave. I think it was an episode about how white people couldn't dance. It was so fucking funny!
Also, I saw him live and it was a decent enough show.
no it was about how white people just dance to a different tune. ;)

oh man, I miss Dave Chappelle... :(
