Daisy Cutter is the best! Thats the beer that really got me into the whole craft beer scene a few years ago. I used to live about a mile away from Half Acre...fresh growlers of Daisy Cutter were a regular thing back then!
Any Chicagoians ever be to Haymarket? There is another location in Bridgman, MI that I've gone to. Really good wood fired pizzas there. Would like to check out their Chicago location.

Chicago location is great. And Au Cheval is right across the street....the place usually has a crazy wait time, but the burgers are incredible. The move is to put your name in there and then go across to Haymarket and drink while you wait an hour or 2 to get a table. And there's so many other cool bars/restaurants in that area....west loop is awesome.
Yeah, it's pretty crazy that I've been to about every brewery in NW Indiana and SW Michigan but haven't ventured up to Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo or Chicago for brewery visits. Thanks for the pro tip on the Chicago Haymarket trip. I am definitely a burger guy, so Au Cheval sounds right up my alley.

No problem. There's a few other breweries in that area as well. On Tour Brewing is this awesome new brewery that opened in the past year. There's also this place called Great Central Brewing that just opened as well....it's actually a contract brewing facility that brews beers for other breweries that want to brew more than their own breweries can handle. So their taproom has fresh beers from a few different breweries...really cool place.
I'm not really a big stout guy, but I told my brother I would go wait in line with him Friday morning to get some bourbon county if it wasn't too cold outside. Supposed to be in the 50s so I guess I'll be waiting in line. Sounds like the stores in Chicago area get plenty so don't really have to worry about it selling out right away.

It depends on what one you want.
If you pick me up a Bourbon County reserve I'll Be very happy!

Going to an 8 person two-hour tour of Other Half on Saturday. IMO they are now the best brewery out there, but only if you love juicy IPAs.

Other Half are really good. I pay a little extra for them because I'm not standing on a line for hours to drink their beer.
Take pics @SVRDhand13!!!
I also have two spots with an allotment for whatever GI beers they get.
I will be ISO the BCBS Reserve and the BC Proprietor!
Anybody out there with a chance at one and wants to hook me up let me know.
The more the merrier!

Racer is really good as is 3 Phillosophers, which they have another version of it too. Midas was ok and 90 minute is yummy, strong but yummy.
Now about that pumpkin and Torpedo tropical? Tell me about those two and how they taste, please.
I'll let you know what I end up with....
