oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

Y'know i was just talking today with someone at work at Pearl Jam and i was daydreaming about them touring again. 'Not till next year at the earliest' i thought. AWESOME.

Hello everyone! So good to see so many familiar names!
I haven't been around for a LONG time as just had so much going on (including a new baby girl - Roisin Abbey - who loves PJ) but hope some of you remember me!!!
I didn't even fecking know there was a European tour (as aforementioned, kinda busy with my 11 week old girl!) until half an hour ago and then I thought I was screwed - but managed to get tickets for Manchester and I can't even shout about it as baby is fast asleep!!!
And I only remembered to renew my membership 3 weeks ago!
See you all at Manchester - and hopefully on here abit more!
Anyone else think as well as the new stuff we might get a Ten back to back?

This is one hell of a monday! 3 of us definetly heading to manchester from N. ireland, can't wait I thought it would be a least 2 years before we got a chance to see them again. Doin the same as wembley 07 heading out on the sunday before so we can relax with a few shandy's that night! This is amazing i can't belive it, i never check my emails much but for some reason i did tonight thank feck!!!!
I live in India, and have never watched Pearl Jam live before! I've been a fan for about a decade, and am hoping to catch the Manchester and London gigs on the upcoming Europe tour.
Few questions: (pardon the ignorance, I've never been to a concert in another country before)
1. Standing tickets is the way to go, right? I've been a Ten Club member since July 2007, so reserved tickets based on seniority is clearly not the option for me. If I get to the venue hours in advance, is it possible to get right up-front?
2. Pre-Sale tickets go on sale to all Ten Club members on the 30th April, but there only seems to be an option to buy tickets in pairs. I will be going to the London gig with 2 friends, and Manchester gig alone. Is it not possible to buy an odd number of tickets?
If not, is it easy to find people on this board whom I could sell the extra ticket for each gig to?
Also, for sale to general public - are single tickets available? I could merge my Ten Club pair with a general for London then.
3. What's the best way to get to Manchester from London, and vice-versa. I'll be on a tight budget, and spending much on travel really isn't a part of the plan. Please do suggest!
4. Anything else you'd suggest so I can have the best first Pearl Jam live experience? : )
(it would also extremely help if you could reply to me by email to anuj AT gigpad DOT com!)
We're thinking about coming up on the Sunday for the drinkin' plans...
We're staying witha friend though so it depends on whether he'll be kind enough to let us stay for two nights, even though he's not going to the gig
WE NEEDS US A GOOD OL' FASHIONED ROLL CALL!!!
Been to this many PJ shows: Reading 2006 London 2007 Manchester & London 2009 Dublin, Belfast, London, Nijmegen & Berlin 2010 Manchester 1 & Manchester 2 2012...
... and I still think Drive-By Truckers are better.

I was at the wembley gig at about 10.am and there was still quite a few there before me! Still got 3 rows from the front. I would say it'll be the same this time around, hope you enjoy your first PJ gig!

1. Standing is first come first served. If you want front row get there early, and I mean early. If it's anything like the 07 tour there's usually at least a dozen people there by 8.30
2. No, but it's easy to sell to others on the board. And yes you can mix the tickets up, although 10c could possibly be queueing at a different entrance if the powers that be decide to release the tickets to 10c later (don't see why they'd do that though)
3. You can get a cheap train ticket (as low as around 18 pounds), but you can only buy trains tickets 3 months in advance (http://www.thetrainline.com). Or you can get a bus with megacoach or national express. They start at a price of 1 pound and the price increases as more seats are sold.

Yes, I have been to some Pearl Jam concerts. Several of them.
i guess i'll just buy myself a pair, and try and sell one ticket off to someone on this board. my friends will probably just go for the general admission tickets then.
and yes, i'll be at the venue by 7 in the morning. front row it's got to be! : ) London can be enjoyed in the next week!
i'll look up the National Express and Megacoach.. have some friends in London who I'll speak to.
thanks again!
ps: typo in the first post. I meant April of course, not July : )
oops, made a mistake, it's megabus, not megacoach.
aha, will look it up. thanks!
slightly off-topic, but could someone possibly recommend me gigs in London in the week after the Pearl Jam gig? I'm hoping to get tickets for U2 @ Wembley on the 15th. i'd love to catch some not so big yet great bands. do recommend! is there a comprehensive gig calendar for London somewhere online?
