Anyone been to the Ahoy arena in Rotterdam? Is the sound any good, and what is the capacity? Will go to Berlin, Manchester and London but not sure about Rotterdam.

Found this, so it takes 10.000 people.

My card hasn't been charged as such yet but when i look at my balance and my available credit it looks like they deducted the cost of the tickets (if that makes sense). If it's in your profile ect i wouldn't worry just yet. No one has got the second email yet.

my card was earmarked type things for the exact amount but its not anymore. when i called my bank they said that the other company(10club) didnt take the money :? so its no longer earmarked.... and what do u mean if i can see it in my profile? as i have the order number but my profile screen is blank with the blog type option. did u just mean order history screen?

    tell im getting paranoid lol

Same here, the order history shows the order and ID, however my credit card account hasn't been charged yet. On the other hand, I got the 2 emails from 10C, one saying that the order has been processed an then the one about the price having changed from 187.- to 168.- $. Weird. Maybe they'll charge the credit card later? What sense would that make?

i just joined 10club now. Ive been a fan since Ten. I decided to join in case they decide to add more dates to the tour. I didnt think i could purchase tickets here as im not a member before the 26th but i seen the option to buy tickets for berlin so i took a chance and got 2 tickets. My order hasnt been processed yet. I thought i was going to have to get tickets when they went on general sale next week. Id be pretty happy if i knew i had 2 already. :)

Is there a chance it could get cancelled as im not a member before the 26th?

i suppose they have some problem whit their accounts,,nobody yet taken money from their banks, for the concerts ,i bought some t-shirts and stuff from 10c at 24-4-09 3 days before tickets, and they take the money just today 5-5-09,,so we buy tickets at 27-4,so they will take the money in 2-3 days,,we are on a tour,,dont worry!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Been to Wuhlheide last year. Its quite big, reckon 16k people can fit in. But the sound and view is amazing there. There is no speacial seating organized, first come - first served. Only 10c ticket holders got the advantage of early entry. But with my experience with german fans, they never show up too early for gigs, especially laid back berliners... Reckon around 6 pm there will be lots of good free places left.

yeah.. was there in 06, only show I didn't get 10c tickets for, we took a train from Prague in the morning and stopped at the hotel so didn't get there until about 3pm and there wasn't that big a queue (I ended up 2nd row anyway, but there was a little bit of rejoining people I knew involved there ;)).
But I almost went off the floor and to the seats because there's GA 'seating' and a very good view from anywhere..
It's gorgeous place in the middle of the woods (but quite a trek from the station, which is half hour out of central Berlin)
    http://www.multimap.com/s/uF4WAP9z (and select Bird's Eye view :))
  • been there too in 06. I remember reading it was something around 80k people.
I really liked the place and the band just rocked. The weather was fine and place within the woods is really nice. Only problem is that, I think they have to stop the show at around 11pm because of some noise regulations. I still think the band would've kept on going a little longer if it hadn't been for those rules.
    But besides that, just awsome!

    Hi all,

a question to the Rotterdamers: I'll be at the Ahoy on 13th August and I'd like to go there by train from Germany. The journey there is no problem but for the return journey which might be around 0.00 or 0.30 I need to know if there is a bus to Renesse or at least Zierikzee or Goes at this nightime.

    Thank you

Ditto...saw them in 2006 (also saw Radiohead there last summer)...one of my favourite venues anywhere! And thank god that most Germans are laid back about concerts, so that makes for an extra nice atmosphere!

yeah, it took even a few weeks I think.. I regretted jumping on the general sale (had missed on the 10c..the only time it ever happened) as I could have got someone local to pick them up easily, without fees/postage.

S-Bahn think runs there quite often. And thk when we were getting from the Radiohead gig there was some extra support so it really took few mins to get into the city ... Germans got it well organized. U dont worry at all!
