I got this from a friend:

"Yeah, got 4 this morning on (O2) pre-sale. No standing ones left and I'll be surprised if any are left at all for general release on Friday !!"

So glad I'm a TC memeber as if this is true it's gonna be hard to come by half decent tickets. Perhaps though they've held some general admin back for Friday?
    My PJ shows:

Are they gonna use fences so you can't walk down to the floor and the standing area, or is it possible to get down?

Ah well, guess it's not aloud anyway. :o

check out the Manchester Roll Call thread and the very 1st post has some info on it ... the london one doesnt due to Londoners being utter shit with their knowledge of pubs... ask them where the nearest hemp & sushi club is and they'll know... ask them where to get a fucking pint and they just blink at you for 48 minutes.

    or something. :?
oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

There's loads of pubs around the London Bridge area, then it's a straight tube journey to the 02. I have never been there to see a gig but went to see an exhibition there once. Loads of cafes, chain restaurants and massive queues but if you want to get aled up, London Bridge is probably the best bet.
I have 10c tickets for London and my folks want me to book them tickets for Manchester tomorrow. They are not excatly good when it comes to pressing refresh every ten seconds......
    :D Rock on!!!! :D
Seen Pearl Jam 4 times in London, once in Manchester, as well as an Eddie show at Hammersmith.

We need to get a pub sorted for the London meet actually...

I have the email addresses of three possible (but not too snooty) bars/american grills in the O2 arena itself so i'm gonna email them asap and ask if they mind haords of PJ fans turning up and drinking... oh and if they mind putting some tunes on for us 8-)

I've asked around for some better ideas but the land around the O2 seems to be barren and void from all pub life :?
Been to this many PJ shows: Reading 2006 London 2007 Manchester & London 2009 Dublin, Belfast, London, Nijmegen & Berlin 2010 Manchester 1 & Manchester 2 2012...

... and I still think Drive-By Truckers are better.

What are the facilities like nearby the Ahoy for those of us who plan on doing a spot of queueing? Any public batchrooms around?

There´s a bar/restaurant inside Ahoy, can´t find the opening hours on their site but I assume you´ll be able to get in from around 12.00.....

Not much to do in the surrounding area.....there´s "Zuidplein" nearby (5 minute walk approx) I think you can find a place to hang out/drink & eat there but it´s nothing exiting.....

I drive through it twice a month after seeing my favorite soccer team and I think it´s a desolate place, nothing historic and charming.....

Thanks for the info - at least there are some places to get food/use the bathroom, bring on August!

The bars around the o2 will be playing Pearl Jam, don't fear. Every time I've seen a show there they've been playing CDs of the artist playing that night. Dunno about anyone else but I actually don't like that, rather hear something different before at least!

Yeah, plenty of pubs in around London Bridge, Southwark Tavern is close to the tube station, you've also got The George, which is one of the oldest pubs in London I believe.

Did anyone else just try to get tickets on general release?

I was waiting until they came on sale...had three friends trying too. None of us managed to get any...but they are already being touted for £80 + on other sites. Ggggrrrrrrr!
