So much for the unstoppable Cavs...

I'm not really sure how the Cavs got this reputation of being unstoppable, but they really are just Lebron James plus a bunch of average players at best. Beating a sub .500 team in the Pistons and the Hawks in four games each is not impressive. Frankly, I think they are the least talented team left in the playoffs. Take away Lebron James and the Magic have at least three players that are much better than all the rest of the Cavs players, Howard, Hedo and Lewis. The Magic are a better team and I'm glad they won game one because now they really believe. I would be very worried Cavs fans.
  • I said at the beginning of this thread that the Magic scare the crap out of me, but I still say the Cavs win the series in 6 or 7 games, but if the Magic play at the level they did last night the Cavs will not win this series. I think the Cavs were rusty last night, didn't come with their best defensive performance and Mo and Delante struggled to knock down open shots, they will have to do a better job if they expect to win.

Cavs let that one slip away, the Magic are good for that also. It's going to be a hard fought series.

i am loving these 2 champ series.

here's the deal. the games aren't fixed the same way anymore. now they just give the calls to keep the games close to spark interest or extend series to make more money in attendance, merchandise and advertising...

    or...

this is this is the most fun i've ever had watching basketball without my beloved pistons involved

    this is good stuff

oh and slightly similar to jordans shot in cleveland..except this was the conference finals..and a better shot.

and dwight howard is from universal soldier..did you see him at the halftime speech?..
he made rashard lewis look life kevin durant...beast

also...is there any point in watching the 1st half with any interest anymore?
i really have just casually watched the first half..i saw the magic were down by 20. didn't bat an eye..u knew they were comin back

I almost quit because of the Celtics getting bounced out but these conference games have been way too good to miss.

It looks like they're playing against midgets the way the Cavs line up is.

All the Magic players are tall and can shoot from anywhere.
And Howard is abusing the Cleveland big guys.

This should have been a sweep if LBJ didn't hit that miracle three.

just when the nba starts winning me over. (i thought games 1 & 2 of both series were physical and fair)
    NOW...
it seems we're lucky to get 2 possesions in a row w/o a whistle
i love the pistons and don't want any of these teams to win so i am w/o bias..
how does dwight howard get t'd up for being pumped up..sorry he punked the dude from the baseline and made him look silly
also joey crawford..i shouldn't even know a ref's name, but i do. he pretty much followed dwight to the bench in game 3..egging him on for a t.
this is not fun to watch.
if the nba is just a free throw comp then i actually have a shot

    LET THEM PLAY!
    LET THEM PLAY!
  • I agree, LET THEM PLAY.

Too bad the Cavs are playing like crap, but give Orlando credit, they are the better team.

BUT DAMMIT, I WANT TO SEE LEBRON AGAINST KOBE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

why are the cavs double teaming dwight? ... maintain position as best as possible and use your fouls ... the magic are beating the cavs at the 3 point line - you can't let lewis or turkoglu have open looks ... who cares if dwight gets 30 ... he'll miss a good 40% of his FT's along the way ...

I agree. It seems like that Pietrus guy is always open. How can you let a guy like that kill you? That said, Howard has been pretty solid on his FT's lately.

That last quarter of the game last night was incredible. Lebron is just ridiculous. I can't even describe how amazing it is watching him. Great players give you a handful of jaw-dropping plays a game. He did that literally every time down the floor. Each time I didn't think he could do it again, and he just kept on making it look so easy.

    Bye bye, Cleveland.

Orlando and L.A. should make for an interesting Finals...

On another note, WTF? was up with Denver's losign game...how oculd you possibly leave so many players on the opposing team open for wide jump shots, and threes?

Although it was damn amusing to see Kobe airball a shot which he was wide open for, and had time to set, aim, and release. Beautiful moment of embarassment.

Howard in the paint, with Turk & Lewis from the perimeter I say Orlando wins in 6.
