  • Bulls and Celtics series has been great, great games, this is why the playoffs are awsome.

I don't have any idea who will win this series now, my guess is the Celtics in 7. :?:

    GO BOSTON!!!

On the other hand, I attended game 3 of the Lakers and Jazz series last night in SLC.

WOW! What a beating. Kobe was on fire, scoring over 20 points in the first half. The Jazz had it going on for the first half, but the meltdown came right after half-time. I also don't think some calls were actually called  Great officiating they have at some of the games.

Oh well, Utah's curse lives on.

This years playoffs have the worst officiating I've ever seen. And that is saying something!

You were quiet there for a few days and now you speak up! Don't get too confident. The Rockets just like to end things at home. Last night was all part of the plan

NBA officiating is by far the worst in all of professional sports. In no other sport do the officials effect the outcome of a game on such a regular basis. This Bulls-Celtics series has been ridiculous. I'm not blaming the officials for the Bulls loss last night....they did have an 11 pt. lead in the 4th quarter that they pissed away, but there is just no consistency to the calls that these guys make.

How that was not called a flagrant foul on Rondo when he whacked Brad Miller across the head last night is a complete joke. Didn't even attempt to go for the ball. So frustrating.

I'm a Boston fan, but I agree on the flagrant...Rondo really didn't appear to be going for the ball...I think he was just trying to put a hand in Millers face but got sloppy with it. Fortunately for Boston, he got off with it.

The officiating is obsurd. Like I mentioned before, the Jazz Lakers game last Saturday in SLC was embarassing.

That being said, the Chicago/Boston game last night was a nail-biter...I hope Boston wins, but I respect Chicago...they have a lot of fight in them.

Well being the huge NBA fan that I am, I guess its time I chime in on the playoffs.

First, my finals prediction: Lakers vs. Cavs. Big surprise.

Second, biggest playoff disappointment so far: Hornets. Wow, what a flame out. Magic are second. This team should be rolling, but they look nowhere near a title contender right now.

Third, biggest surprise so far: Nuggets. As a Laker fan, I'm a little scared of this Chauncy led team.

Fourth, funniest thing so far: Celtics struggling like a fish out of water without KG. I knew it last year and its proven this year, KG dragged that sorry heap of a team to a title last year and now without him they're barely gonna beat the Bulls and then get annihilated by, if not the Magic, then definitley the Cavs. Though I would love to see KG come back and then I might have a chance at seeing Boston/LA in finals again. That would be sweet.

Not as big of an NBA fan as I used to be, and while I'll always pull for Detroit, I'm really pulling for Cleveland this year. Hoping it will take some pressure off my Brownies :)

I definitely think Denver has some tricks up their sleeve...George Karl has always been a pretty good coach also. They've got my vote for the West.

I'd just love to see somebody upset LA, and seeing Denver do it would be great.

I'm hoping someone on the Bulls steps up tonight and knocks Rondo on his ass early in the game. A little payback from his foul on Miller the other night, but mostly because he's been getting in the lane whenever he pleases this entire series. I mean, Rondo is a very good player, but he's not triple-double 5 games in a row good or whatever he is averaging.

I'm thinking the Bulls are going to pull it out tonight to force a game 7. You know the NBA wants a game 7 between these two. Two of the more popular teams in the NBA with a game 7 on a Saturday night??? These NBA execs mouths must be watering. I'm sure the officials will know what to do to keep their execs happy. It's sad, but it has gotten to the point where it is rather obvious there is shady shit like this going down in the NBA today.

Good point. It's a shame that some of that is the truth. The officials work in favor of the execs at times...if you ask me, that's just as bad as throwing a game, or paying off a ref. Whatever, I guess...not much you can do. I just wish basketball was a little more "call it exactly how it's played", regardless of who is playing.

If KG intentionally slaps someone in the face, call a damn flagrant.
If LeBron travels while looking amazing going for the dunk, and all the fans are kissing his ass because of it...still, call the damn call.

Yeah, it's getting pretty out of hand and makes it hard to enjoy these games at times. Jordan got away with plenty in his day, but it seems like these refs are letting these guys do as they please more and more as time passes.

By the way, KG needs to be kept in a cage in the locker room. This guy is out of his fucking mind. I used to have a ton of respect for him and thought he was a really classy guy. I've never seen someone talk so much shit from the bench in a suit and tie. Apparently he was literally barking at Vinny Del Negro while they were reviewing the Rondo-Miller play during game 5. This guy is nuts.

    Let's do this Bulls!
  • The Bulls -Celtics series is just f'n ridiculous, whoever wins this is going to be spent in the next series.

As far as the officiating goes. There is contact on nearly every trip down the court (I'm not saying it has been great by any means) but what do you call and what don't you call ? especially with the game on the line. Rondo should have been suspended IF what Howard did was worth a suspension. There is just a lack of consistancy between officiating crews. That's just human nature and the officials judgement.

Look, you can call holding on every play in the NFL but they don't. I think the officiating in the NBA is the hardest to do but at the same time I think it's the worst in terms of consistancy.

Allen puts up 51 in a triple OT loss.
Wish Rondo could have had a better shooting night. :(

Game 7 in Boston, these Bulls are so much alike the Hawks from last season.

Very true about the NFL. But I feel like there is so much more consistency. You find out in the first quarter of an NFL game how the game is going to be called. In the NBA, you have no clue how the game will be called.

Last nights game was incredible! I really thought it would go to 4 overtimes. I can only imagine the atmosphere at that game. I'm excited about game 7 to see what's going to happen...it's going to be a fucking frenzy, they'll both be facing elimination.
