    seems to me like Lolla in Grant Park. no idea about the size of GG Park....no camping, so start booking rooms now

    festival had about 50-60k there with Radiohead ...

    hopefully they will get the first year kinks ironed out ... I went last year, there were a few issues, but, it was their first attempt, overall, I had a great time.

    word to the wise, be prepared for any weather ... 70-80s during the day ... 50s and cold at night.

    The only reason I'd agree with this ... last year's poster listed "Radiohead, Tom Petty, Jack Johnson" ... and that's how they headlined on Friday, Saturday, Sunday.

    this year the poster states "Pearl Jam, Dave Matthews, Beastie Boys" ... and we know DMB is on Saturday.

    So ... it appears to be Friday.

    I really wish they would just announce all the dates that they plan on doing i know it's asking alot from them but still it would help in planning ... :)

    yeah i looked at the prices....ouch! i'm hoping they announce some more shows, although i'd feel stupid not going since it's right in my freaking backyard. they don't sell 1-day tickets do they? lol

    and yeah jose, c'mon, san francisco is beyooootiful! :D

    Just saw on the beastie boys site have themselves listed as playing outside lands on 7/30/2009....clearly they mean 8/30/2009. PJ is on Friday.

    Fuck me as it happens to be i will be in ITALY that week it's sad to say but now i wish i could cancel that vaca ,still holding out for dates after i get back and it could work out so easy for me i have family there in FRISCO .. :evil: ..

    Barb! I could not fucking go to sleep last night after hearing it on SFGate.com. I even posted their page screen shot since some people couldn't see it.
    So, who's lining up at the gate?

    I also saw some of you guys are asking about single day tix. Last year they weren't available until June. We went Friday and Saturday and passed Sunday as I had no interest in seeing most of the acts scheduled for Sunday. This year though I won't risk it by waiting hoping that single day passes would become available and I'd suggest you do the same. Especially my Bay Area hard-cores. You know who you are! :D
    By the way Barb, where has vedhed-27 been? I didn't see her on the new board.

    aw man, italy! that's a dream spot of mine to visit....well hold tight, who knows what will happen, hopefully it all works out timing-wise. just the fact the boys are hitting the road has me SO excited....i can't focus :D

    thanks for the heads-up about the single tickets...i'm still on the fence about buying the pass. for $200 i could get two pairs of PJ-only show tickets. hmmmm decisions decisions....

    question for the peanut gallery: when PJ announced the lolla festival, did they announce more shows after tickets went on sale? trying to remember :lol:

    i haven't talked to lydia in a while, i don't think i've seen her on this board either!

    This looks like a great festival. I have a wedding that weekend, so it is out of the question for me. But I am hoping that we see some west coast dates in the week leading up to or the week after the festival.

    I think we are pretty close to getting a full tour announcement :) We probably just have to wait for ACL to make their announcement.
