    Very true, but the last time Philly bitched over tickets was with the whole Wachovia and Borgata debacle in 2005 and that led to the infamous unfulfilled promise by Kat of the "Big, Bold, Beautiful and Free" thing.

    im gonna say NO....

    these are special solo shows....at smaller venues....
    with only 50-100 pairs(maybe more, maybe less) available....

    the 10club found a way for every member to get a fair chance at scoring tickets...
    the 10 club gave us 3 days to put in our requests.....
    some people cant sit at a computer in the middle of the day and try for tickets....
    everyone has a fair chance.....

    to me it just seems like the 10club did the best thing..............

    In hindsight, I think you are right and I'm over estimating the number of people going for tickets.

    Now obviously none of us have access to numbers of people trying, but if you go on the goods page, 10 club memberships and renewals are still outselling any show on sale. I've read on here estimates that the fan club is about 50,000 or so.

    So if that were the case, I can't see much more than a thousand people each week renewing or joining the club at any one time which means that most likely none of the shows even have a thousand people going for them yet.

    personally i think this way of doing tickets sucks ass. mainly because i'm greedy and selfish and want the opportunity to try for tickets to as many shows as i could afford. however, i am very thankful that we as pearl jam fan club members even have a shot for tickets at all. by all rights the tenclub could say hey fuck you guys we dont have shit to do with ed we are busy working on the upcoming pearl jam tour leaving all of us to fend for ourselves on ebay and tm. the fact that they took the time to save tickets for each venue and go through all the trouble to make sure we at least got a taste is pretty fuckin cool. i for one, will be happy regardless of if i get a show. between ed, tool, and pj.....fuck it's gonna be a fun year.
    if you think what I believe is stupid, bizarre, ridiculous or outrageous.....it's ok, I think I had a brain tumor when I wrote that.

I can see allowing them only one show but at least give them the opportuntiy to be in the lottery for both shows and only allow them to purchase tickets to one.

    I think the new system is perfect, EXCEPT:

    WHY do we have to buy in pairs? I think we should be able to cast our "demand" ahead of time, and indicate 1 or 2 tickets. A lot of people go in pairs, but a lot of people just want one ticket. Then they can lump two demands for 1 ticket together as a "pair" and then randomly select pairs. That way more 10c peeps get to go.

    Just a suggestion.

    Agreed in regards to EV tour, only :)

    They'd be shooting themselves in the wallet if they started limiting peeps to just one show per tour.
