Come on Ed. I love ya man, but is this for real?

The whole band wasn't that expensive for a pair in '08.

Not trying to be cheap here, but this is absurd.
I love to turn you on

i think i remember paying $77 for a ticket to his solo show in NYC over the summer.

just wait to see the prices when PJ comes around with a tour. They will be in the $80's - $90's each.

again, not trying to be a cheap ass here, but man the gas prices went down a lot since last summer.

I think it is definitely worth going to if you have the money. I went to Chicago night 1 last year. It was awesome...something I will always remember. I am hoping for a PJ tour this year and will save vacation and money and travel expenses for that. But, If you've never seen a solo show...it is well worth the money.

for people who don't make a lot of money (and there are a lot out there nowadays), this is definitely an expensive price for tickets...

you can say people are complainers, but for someone like me who'd love to go to these shows, the prices are just something I simply can't afford and wish would change to reflect the current economic state and people's dwindling incomes...

You have to consider that with smaller venues, there are far fewer tickets to sell. If booking agents, managers, and especially his crew members want to make the same pay as a regular tour, he needs to come up with the money somehow.

I know it's a lot, but you get a lot in return from his shows.

I went to the Southern California shows and thought it was well worth the money. i saw it as a way of catching ALL of Ed's pre-set songs (and then some) in one shot. The shows are all pretty much the same, so even if you only get one... it is well worth the price of admission.

i would think there'd be less crew members, bus drivers, handlers, etc, etc. with a solo tour as opposed to a full band tour?

Yeah, I would love to see him, but the closest he's coming near me (Albany) is about an hour away on a Mon. or Tues., so I really can't go. I don't have much time left at work.

  • I'm graduating from college in May and still yet to land a job. So as much as I would love to go to one of these shows, at that price it is just not going to happen.

And the crew/managers argument is not going to cut it for me. I've seen tons of small venue shows in my life for $10-$20. Not that I'd expect that for eV, but at least something in the $40-$50 range.

    Where's the "ticketmaster sucks!" mentality?

I have yet to find a job in the states (granted I can't get legal work right now anyway hence my visa isn't in motion) so with the prices as they are can't go I don't think but we'll see.... I'm trying to find a way to go let me tell you :D Have a talk tonight with my partner.

all in all however anyone puts it the ticket prices are overpriced they really are. I'm not whining but purely they are too much. That's what I paid for a PJ pair last year.

Maybe I'm spoiled by the forthright nature in which Trent Reznor communicates with his fans about business, tickets, etc.. but it'd certainly be nice to hear an explanation for these prices.

i wasnt in 10c last year..
had to buy tickets from ticketsnow or something cause it was impossible on ticketmaster
i wont even say how much i spent for nyc1 last summer
    enjoy this price
    i know i am
  • $162 is not bad at all for a pair imo. If only there were a closer show to me than Albany I'd try for tickets. Oh well.
  • I was kinda shocked to see the price. But I know long gone are the $50 tix days. I was thinking about Albany or Philly but at that price I might have to hold out for September. Plus no Mike = no me.

  • At the Palace Theatre last year I saw Lewis Black for something like 45 or 50 a ticket... Ed is worth way more than that! Tickets are just expensive now, no way around it.

Bad timing on my previous post... I was saying I wish PJ would communicate with their fanbase on issues like this, in the manner Trent does.

$162 sounds amazing compared to what I will pay if I don't win the lottery.
