Nice win for the Mets yesterday. Maine looked great, too bad he had to be pulled.

    What is up with Putz?

Can't wait to have Reyes back.

i was at the game too yesterday, couldn't believe the line up! jerry should pull that crap for away games. supposedly beltran has a stomach bug and tried to play through it yesterday. but it was a nice day for a game anyway

I heard Francesa was handwaving this left and right today. Talking about Piazza sitting, like X-Man said, on day games following night games, which was just about every Sunday..sucked major dick for people with Sunday packages hoping to see, or their kids to see, Piazza....

With that said, it still doesn't make it right, and fatso is lost on this..he is way more out of touch than the act he puts on..I mean they had an off day on Thursday, and are on the road in Pittsburgh and Washington for the rest of the week..lol..take the motherfuckers out then..I go to plenty of games, but for many this may have been their only opportunity. I understand that players are hurt and Beltran had the shits etc..but give Wright, Sheff and Castillo a day off in Washington or Pittsburgh..

Anyway, it's also the feeling that the team conceded the win..tickets aren't cheap, and the thought of this team throwing in the towel with Redding and that fucking lineup is a disgrace. After the first few pitches, everyone in the ballpark knew the game was over..I seriously have never seen so many unhappy folks in a ballpark, right from the start to the end..After a couple of innings, I left my Pepsi Porch seat (figured I'd spend a little more for good seats on a nice Saturday afternoon..lol) and proceeded to hang out in center field, drank beer and ate like a pig..

Can the Mets ever do anything right?

Yeah apparently, like Beltran, Maine got the shits too..Still have faith that Putz will be okay..

Edit: Fuck this Putz motherfucker! Let's ship this guy out of here tonight..wow..could not get any of the 5 Pirates out that he faced in the 8th..horrible job..

Putz is a worthless piece of fucking shit. Jerry always goes to this guy and its beyond me why he does. Parnell should be the 8th inning pithcher, period end of story. God we need wags in the worst way. This bullpen sucks like always cept for k-rod and parnell

Well, that's two more relievers that are good than the last two years.

Fuck Putz man, I can't believe this shit. And even though Feliciano is pitching ok, I still can never trust him after the last two years.

We better fucking win for Johan tonight.

No win for Johan tonight..horrible, but really can't be too pissed off as we all knew the injuries would eventually catch up with us..no Delgado, Reyes, Beltran, Church..seriously, where is our team? I can't feel too suicidal about tonight..

I think I'm going to stop watching the games Johan pitches, he always pitches better when I don't watch.

I think it's already a drastically different scenario with no Delgado, Reyes, Church, Beltran on the field. Have you seen the lineup lately? Give us break..lol....your team is one good starter away from another division..

What the fuck!!!! Reyes is still out and will miss the series with the Nationals??? What the fuck is going on here, does anyone have a fucking clue? It was first a day to day scenario and now the motherfucker hasn't played in nearly a month..this is very very concerning..the fucking inept team is killing me..

I don't even know what to think. The Mets medical staff seems to be completely brain dead.

I thought he had a torn hamstring ? Thats a tough injury to heal quickly

    Putz out 2 months ?

Apparently he tore a tendon between his knee and hamstring. There is no real time table for his return, most people think it will be around the All-Star Break. Putz is out 8-12 weeks.

Wow, this is incredible..I understand that all teams have to deal with injuries, but this is far beyond that..yeah, Reyes will be out for a couple of months and Putz is gone till September..Sheffield is just about as good as being on the DL at this point with his legs...After Beltran and Wright, there is no one in that lineup. We are officially fucked, especially with the tough stretch of games coming up this month and the Phillies flying..

At this point I just want them to stay relatively close until some of the key guys come back and then hopefully make a run in September for the division and/or the wild card..

If the Phillies keep finding ways to lose games late staying close wont be a problem

Going to tomorrow nights game and sitting in the Ceasers Club. Lets hope Santana has a magical game and David Wright finally decides to hit a home run/hit at home in general.

Was an insane game. Johan was clearly not himself, but it was great anyway. So exciting. So glad the Mets did not give up after giving up the lead. Nice to see some power from the Metsies! On to game two. FUCK THE PHILLIES.

Btw, what do you guys think about Johan's reaction to being taking out by Jerry? On one hand, it's good to see him want the ball and battle, but on the other hand he did show up the manager..I'm not a Jerry guy, so I was all for it ;) ..though Santana did need to be taken out at that point, no question..

I thought it was fine. Johan shouldn't have wanted to come out, it shows that he's a true competitor.

Hopefully the Mets can pound Hamels and Pelf pitches a good game. I want to see some more power from Beltran and Wright.

Well, the Mets did pound Hamels and Pelfrey pitched a good game. What a bunch of fucking shit leaving 16 runners on base..pathetic..had plenty of fucking chances..
