Woulda like to gone 6-4 but 5-5 is a good road trip. Wright is getting hot just at the right time as is sheff. Murphy looks good at 1st base

What a great weekend in Boston! Maybe would have had the sweep if it weren't for our idiot manager going with Green in a big spot..

Can't believe how well we are playing right now with only two of our opening day starters in the lineup, Castillo and Wright. Isn't the rest of the lineup making like the league minimum? Anyway, I guess when you have good starting pitching and facing shitty teams, anything is possible...but we'll need the regulars back and soon..

I'm really really worried about this Beltran knee scenario. I know they are saying it'll only be a few days, but that's exactly what was said about Reyes as well. The Mets handle these situations unbelievably bad..from Church to Delgado to Reyes etc..it's horrible and in the case of Church, they may have actually ruined this guy's fucking career with their antics last year..

They never liked church. I don't even think mr. Wilpon likes church. He's been the best rf we've had since swobda(sp). I'd trade church for maybe a bullpen arm or another bench guy and keep up f-mart. Yes the mets have def handled these injuries wrong. If there injuried they belong on the dl, no wait and see bs. Also putz and green are sucking big time. I hate to say this but I'd take a look at wags and see what he has left in him.

Still hanging in there due to good pitching and Sheffield's hitting..the rest of the triple-a guys are showing us something too..

Wagner will be here before you know it, and I for one would definitely like to see him out there rather than that bum Green..

As would I. I'd putz 7th inning, wags and parnell 8th inning. I don't like putz in the 8th cause he can't handle being in that role. I like wags in the 8th cause he's a gamer and well parnell just has gas and that can't go to waste.

really? Ryan Church is better than Darryl Strawberry? Even after a night of drinking at Finn McCool's, Strawberry iwas a better threat in the middle of the lineup than Church is. I get your point on Church, I've been hearing those rumblings as well, but no way is he the best right fielder the Mets have had since Ron Swoboda. Maybe if Strawberry never spent time with the Mets considering the other names, but that's a reach at best. That calls for a Mike Francesa handwave..

So anyone want to talk about Citi Field and your favorite food and/or beer beverage? The place is amazing. I go there just to eat..lol..the Blue Smoke ribs are fucking awesome!! The tacos would be great if it weren't for the soft shells, not my thing..the Frites fries and dipping sauces, especially the smoked bacon sauce, are off the shanizzle...haven't had anything bad yet..and the specifically crafted Ales on tap at the Mexican place and Blue Smoke hit the spot too..haven't tried Shake Shack and/or their beer because the lines have been way too fucking long..gonna hit up Mama's and Catch of the Day this weekend....any other suggestions?

Haha, well the beer selection is phenomenal...fuck, even the beer man in the stands carries Brooklyn Lager..though I still do most of the hammering with Bud and/or Bud Light..as for the dogs, I really never was a big fan of them. The wife had one, I tried it and it was just okay..I've always been a hot sausage with peppers kind of guy..and thus far, gun to my head, it's still my favorite!

Btw, Ramon Martinez hit a double the other day that for sure would have been gone at the new Yankee little league park ;) ..

Brooklyn Lager, nice, I approve. If they're paying a tribute to the Brooklyn Dodgers, then they should be selling the "Pennant Ale", which was created in honor of the 1955 Dodgers.

    OMIR FUCKING SANTOS

Rumor has it castro might be going to the white sox as reported by jon heyman.

    Edit

Well that rumor is true. Castro goes to the white sox for lance broadway. Broadway will be assigned to triple A buffalo.

Can't say ill miss castro. Never really liked him. They caught lighting in a bottle with santos and I am glad santos is THE catcher now

  • I don't know about trading Castro....the league is gonna figure Omir out. 7 years in the minors, 10 career major league games....Have fun, ride the wave, but it will come crashing down, and you'll be stuck with Schneider and a catcher who sprent 7 years in the minors and had a .258 average. And guess what i just found out...drafted by the Yankees ... Read Moreand spent 7 years in the system. I've been wondering for years who would eventually replace Posada, and I never heard one word of the guy. He's Shane Spencer behind the plate. Not that Castro is all that great, either

this trade is not a big deal, santos is a nice story, but schneider will likely get the bulk of the starts for the time being (I read it in the Daily News) to see what he has.

I agree with X-Man, it's not a big deal. Regardless of what will happen with Santos, he has already been an unbelievable addition and a welcomed surprise. The majority of Met fans, included myself, have had enough of Castro's fat lazy ass..good riddance....

The chemistry really seems to be building without Delgado and Reyes in the lineup...We'll need Reyes, but like I've always said, Delgado is poison..

Champ I couldn't diisagree anymore then I already do. I've always hated reyes and his antics. The showboating, the dancing after a teamate hits a homerun, the lack of simple baserunning. I'm tired of this he still young crap. He's what 23, 24 now. Its time to be a ballplayer and be a leader of this team. I'd be so happy if the mets traded away reyes for a starting pitcher. Delgado has been class act from day one since he's been here. He's a great team leader and the only team leader besides sheff. What's does that really say bout this team.

That's fair, Reyes can be very frustrating. He has unbelievable talent that I'm just not ready to give up on. He has to show us something at the end of the season though..As for Delgado, I personally think he has been a horrible leader. It's time for Wright to take over, and he won't completely till Delgado is gone..oh and Reyes is about to turn 26..

Does anyone know anything about this guy?

Anyway, just got back from Citi Field. They totally threw in the towel before the game even started. It's sickening! Did you guys see the lineup? Unlike me, a lot of people don't get the opportunity to attend many games, so today may have been their only chance, and the Mets fuck a packed house on a Saturday like this?? Seriously, it's a fucking shame..Some people around me had absolutely no idea who some of these players were, and I don't fucking blame them..Valdez? Martinez 1 and Martinez 2? Reed? Tatis? Pagen? lol..what a joke..

The only constant in the lineup today was Beltran and he has been dead cold since his return..why fucking rest both Sheffield and Wright? Take out Santos after the game he won for you!!!! Jerry is a fucking moron and sure knows how to kill momentum..fucking idiots..I felt ashamed out there wearing my Met colors today..

This lance broadway guy is a 2005 1st round draft pick. Reyes is very frustating all the time. He's 26 and isn't the team leader as wright isn't one either. Both of them need to grow some balls and say this our team and all. Delgado is a bad leader cause the team is full of soft players. I think its fucking pathetic they bring in a 40 year old to also be a clubhouse leader. Its the same shit different year with this core.

Haha, you're starting to sound like Pope Francesa. I think the team can be very successful with the core being Beltran and Wright, as we've seen in the last few weeks. The chemistry has been getting better without Delgado and Reyes in the lineup..eh, fuck it..what am I thinking?..fuck me for actually getting a bit optimistic, fuck that glimmer of hope..you're right, we are Met fans..this fucking team will collapse again and fuck us in the rear like they always do..damn, I almost lost perspective..thanks and fuck this team..

I never knew you were funny tyson. Everything is ok for now but september is when it really counts with this team. I still think omar will get us a starting pitcher. That sucks you had to basically see the b-team in person. I woulda been very much pissed off
