Btw, what's up with all the whining Met fans crying about the new ballpark on the Fan? Have these people ever been to Shea?

Maybe they're indirectly pissed with the name of the place by being one of the thousands of layoff victims of the company or knowing someone who was. I know I'd be pissed if I was laid off because they were cutting costs while lavishing money on a sports team to plop the name of the company on their stadium.

You give us too much credit if you truly think it's even a blip on a typical Met fan's radar, unless of course they were effected directly..we just boo at and bitch about anything and everything ;) ..

    Murphy is lost out there..

Why take Church out when red hot?

We need Maine to get on track tonight!

The queens dodgers looked good last night. Give murphy some time, he's not a natural outfielder.

The Murphy love fest is quickly sinking as the days go on. The guy has done nothing..It's the same old song and dance from Met management hyping up their prospect..I'm not saying Murphy won't be good, and of course as a Met fan I certainly hope he hits the shit out of the ball and turns out to be a good, if not great every day player..

With that said..personally I've never seen an outfielder on a routine throw to the plate check down to the shortstop. I understand he's transitioning into a new position, but he is a young strong kid and if he really can't make a simple/short throw to the plate, then what the fuck is he doing out there? It's a huge liability and unless he starts producing big numbers, it just won't work....not to mention the lazy fly ball drop..come on!!

Anyway, I'm still behind this kid, but am and have been very cautious with these prospects the Mets love to shove in our faces..as we unfortunately all know, it usually doesn't pan out..

I was thinking of the famous Alex Escobar when I read your post. I think he'll be decent, but we'll know more when he gets a full trip through the league and there's a book on his tendencies at the plate and in the various counts and if he makes the necessary adjustments once that happens.

him and reyes worked on that play during spring training cause he doesn't have an outfield arm. He's been a infielder all his life and to throw him out there is wrong and could damage him. He's a great hitter and I love him battind 2nd. He needs to be put back at 2nd base.

Wow, these motherfuckers really never hit in the clutch, do they? Same shit, different year. Once again on Sunday they had a million opportunities, and yet again the big hitters came up short. Very concerning..

Mr. Met Having Trouble Sleeping In New Home

My favorite Pearl Jam song: "Corporate Greed Boat Asshole Behind a Counter in the Oval Office"
  • the mets just seem to be a team on the brink of winning big, playing 500 ball or getting blown out every single game they play could present all 3 options. they can hit until they have to. they can pitch until they have to. they just cant stay ahead. they are yet to lose big blowout style games like the guys in the bronx but at this point, id rather that then the midgame, late inning meltdowns. anyway, its still early. and im high on the bullpen, and murphy who i believe will turn his defensive woes around sooner than later.
