Back to something earlier in this thread, I for one would have bought this item if the chance of having a signed one was say 5 were going to be signed....there was a chance

But I refuse to believe that if that hadnt been mentioned, and that it wasnt exclusive (I never thought it was), that anyone would have paid more to order direct from the tenclub internationally....why the fucking hell would they?

Now that would have been an idea!!! Or is it just that you don't want us all invading the US??;)

Invade all you want, I live in the UK (though I am American... well part... well... you know.. one of those!)

Though on a more serious note... would Jersey not be an option (says someone who has absolutely no idea...)

I had often wondered why all Euro orders weren't sent to a central distribution point for the more expensive, customs-incurring items and customs paid then. Even if it meant upping the shipping a little surely it would be cheaper than everyone being charged individually for customs charges and 'handling' fees. There must be enough merchandise sales coming this way to warrant looking into it at least.

As far as I can remember that normally happens. Most PJ merch goes to Sweden and then from there goes throughout Europe...they used UPS this time...hence the balls up 8-)

AHA! So it happens already.... but not this time.

Invasion is on the cards then... ;)

i am not here to complain, but after reading everyone elses opinions i do feel the want to express that i did feel a little mislead by the 10c. By that i simply mean, as someone else stated, that by purchasing the SDE thru 10c it would be something that you couldnt purchase anywhere else. I did not really think much about the sigs, because i knew i wouldnt be that lucky (as i never am). i just thought i could get something as a perk of being in the fan club, when it turns out that anybody with $135 in their pocket could walk into a best buy and get the same EXACT item for $15 less than I actually paid. I just feel for the first time that the 10c dropped the ball, perhaps they were in over their head with excitement? oh well, mine will arrive monday, and i still cant wait.

why can't people take the initiative and ASK some questions before purchasing?

why does 10C have to TELL everyone everything?

Sorry, but why would I ask "are you going to ship the items in a different way to the other hundreds of times I've ordered goods through 10c"? I'm sure they'd get very sick if everyone asked this question every time they placed an order.

Just got mine £31 each and I even had to argue with the guy about accepting a cheque because my parcel stated cash only - he had to phone his manager.

Also got him to ask about the calculation of the charges and after taking the phone and speaking to his manager he said I would have to take it up with the sender as they're calculated on how much shipping they paid per item (i.e based on size and weight) and not on what we actually paid. I argues that if that was the case the VAT charge should be even less, but they weren't having any of it!

Posters are larger than this package and they get sent through the usual route, packages that include vinyl and other items (similar size) in the past have been sent through the usual route, and we didn't know the actual weight until we had the UPS tracking info.

Seriously, every time you order something from 10c do you ask about how it's going to be delivered??

It is not the first time I order boxset like these (example the melvins boxset from Hydrahead) or packages of this size and I never had to pay extra fees nor customs taxes. It is the choice of UPS that put us in this situation, having to pay 80 euros more than if I bought it in my local store...
I initially bought it from the 10c cause I prefer my money to go straight to the band not because I expected it to be signed (I don't care) and not cause I thought it was an exclusive item. What a dumbass I am, I will not do it again.

I feel for the international fans who are getting blind-sided like this. If I was one of them, I would strongly consider rejecting the package and disputing the charges with my credit card company. you might have to check your individual agreements, but the additional, unanticipated charges might be valid grounds.

Thanks for your understanding its good to know some people can empthise with the way a lot of people are feeling right now :) , unfortunately I think it's a bit risky for people as they might end up losing more if they can't get refunded. Or at the very least lose out on the $50 original postage anyway.

I didnt care that Best Buy (and Amazon?) were selling it cheaper, because with sales tax it would come out to be about the same, and as others have said, I would rather give my money directly to the band. however, for the international fans, the extra cost of ordering from 10C is significant.

I feel for Ricardo and everyone else that feels ripped off. I completely agree with you. I did not buy the Super Delux edition (yet), because I was still angry about the 2008 Bootleg box set. It is the same thing. I ended up paying 240.74 for the complete bootleg set and the box and a few months later it was available from the 10C for $200. I felt used because I acted so quickly and my enthsiasm cost me $40, so I am taking my time with this super delux edition. Your enthusiasm should not cost you more; that enthusiasm is vital to the continued success of the band. That enthusiasm is priceless to the band and they can't keep spoiling it by these type of problems. On the flip side, there was no room for taking your time with the ITW Vinyl. So that is what needs to be communicated, is there 2000 available (ITW Vinyl) or 200,000 available (super deluxe)? Is it a 10C exclusive or for wider release? Just be open and honest and fair; that goes a long way.

And think how you will feel when 10C has thousands of these left over in the warehouse and they put them on sale. That would/could start some real bitching. All of a sudden the super duper deluxe is only $99, that might start a riot.
