What are the newest, most annoying trends you Pitters can think of? I have to write an article on a trend and I'm grasping for ideas. I'm not talking Ugg Boots, that's old ... something more cutting edge. Feel free to think as outside the box as you like. thanks.

for girls...i'm not a fan of high-waisted jeans. they're only flattering on 1% of the population, yet why my store sells them in all sizes i'll never know!

i'm also a wee bit tired of the ray ban "risky business" sunglasses...but maybe it's just 'cause i've been staring at them in all imaginable colors for the past year?!

the resurgence of jumpsuits and harem pants are kinda questionable to me, though i don't know how well they will catch on with the masses??!

that's all i can think of right now. if i think of anything else, i'll let you know. good luck!

Blaming the economy for all the problems under the sun.

It's not the economy, folks - it's us.

And if things were really that bad, you'd see people making much more drastic changes.

I know Twitter has been around for a while but it seems to be gaining a lot of momentum recently. I would vote for that.

    Twitter tops my list.

Also I totally agree on the blaming the economy for everything. Did the economy really kill Circuit City, or did it die because it sucked? I saw a story the other day blaming the economy for Kodak barely being alive. Really? Also Blockbuster. Netflix is killing Blockbuster. They have been on their way down since before this economic "crisis".

But what really bugs me is the way the economy is worked into almost every commercial on TV and radio now. Really, just pay attention the next time commercials come on. Everyone says somethingn to the effect of, "In this economy . . .", or "In these times . . .", etc. Annoying!! We read the bad news every day, please don't remind us about it when a commercial comes on during 24 or whatever!

Any and everything to do with Twilight. My wife and her friends are ridiculously obsessed with this drivel meant for 15 year old girls. Good God! If she wasn't such a big PJ fan (and a wonderful person otherwise), I would have to think about making a decision. :)

Ok I agree with you guys there. Wearing them when it's hot outside is just plain dumb and even dumber with shorts. I just wear mine when it's cold outside. I don't want stinky feet. But imagine it's 30 degrees outside and you get to stick your foot into some big, furry boots. It feels like walking on a warm, comfy cloud
  • Twitter has to top the list. I don't see the point in it. I don't really care what you are doing right now.

Facebook, although it has been a trend for a few years now. Lately, I've noticed a great deal of old school friends showing up on FB and friending me. That says a lot for FBs appeal because we all graduated in the 80's and many people in my generation are not hip to tech trends. Facebook Apps are annoying as hell. I must have some 80 or 90 app requests pending that I just won't even touch. I don't want to give some app permission and then have to pick 12 friends to forward the app to.

iPhones. Why do you need to do everything on your phone?

High School Musical. I have never seen this or plan on seeing it, but Christ it's already on a third sequel.

iPod DJs. You see these frequently here in Columbus nightclubs and bars. Some college punk with an iPod (s) DJing a set that used to be performed old school with two turntables and a microphone.

Green. Green is a good idea until it becomes a fashion trend sewn together in Indonesian sweat shops, and packaged and sold at Walmart.

As annoying as that is, cover bands bring out the drunken masses and make clubs a crap load of money.
I work part time as a video tech for a cover band here in Columbus...I hate their music, but they are always booked.

lol...will that look ever die! People were doing that when i was going to High School..and that was in that was a while ago.

Even worse, are emos who wear skinny jeans and still wear them half way down their ass. 'Cause in this case, their T-shirts are also too small and they're colourful underwear and checkered belt are all over the place.
