That's funny. Did you like it?

LOVED it. we were 10th row center on the floor. sang along with every song. I was 16, and it was the first place I drove that farther than 15 miles from my house.

  • Last year. Eddie's solo gig at NJPAC, New Jersey. Pretty much the greatest night of my life. It was just my third day in the States. And I got to smoke some hash too.

I remember this thread on the old Pit and I was damn near embarrassed to put my first concert. Then it turned out somebody else posted practically the same thing.

3 Dog Night, August 1969, Fort Worth, TX
    I was 14

I did manage to make up for it within the next year by seeing a lot of better acts than that, including Jimi Hendrix.

First one I remember is Guns N' Roses in 2006. Otherwise I think I was just at local festivals with my parents and just caught a few songs and such.

The Paul Butterfield Blues Band, featuring guitar whiz Mike Bloomfield and Elvin Bishop . 1965. I was 6. My aunt, seeing that i enjoyed live music decided to take me to more shows.

The second and third shows I ever saw, in 1967 and 1968 and thanks to said auntie also, were more memorable : The Monkees, with The Jimi Hendrix Experience opening on Aug 1967 at Temple Stadium, Philadelphia, and The Who , Pink Floyd and The Troggs at J.F.K . Stadium , Philadelphia, on July 24, 1968 .
