    Its all over the place

    I'm a Yankee fan...always have been

    A-Rod just doesn't get it

Mentally he's mush....and his drama is getting old fast
He shoulda stayed in Seattle and stayed true to his original body type...maybe add a few lbs. I remember when he 1st came up.....WOW

Now I see him regurally here in the big apple.....and its like great u kill it in the regular season, and suck ass in the postseason....If that doesn't change this year we will run him out of town somehow. I know he has a huge deal no one else could afford to pay.....Yankee fans dont put up with this shit

Get your shit together A-Rod...your only gettin older
  • at one point or another, its going to come out that A LOT of big name players have used roids. they just havent been caught yet.

Not hating here, crojam, but I'm sure A-Rod is not the only pinstripper who was/is using. I'm bitter because Selig ("I knew nothing") and the Feds want to make Bonds the scapegoat for the whole fucking mess.

honestly dude...I hear ya on Bonds. How dare the Feds put this much pressure on Greg Anderson's family just to nail a guy who isn't a media ass kisser....what a waste of $ and resources. The whole sport as well as other sports is soo tainted.I think Clemens is worse than Bonds...he tried to present himself as a family guy etc....he's a piece of shit

I could be wrong but Yankee players will always get the brunt of this more than others
  • the sox fan in me wants to be all happy. but the baseball fan in me is torn.. again. sure i was getting sick of ARods BS drama crap but on the field he was so good. can any good athlete please just not do steroids. wtf?

THANK YOU! I feel bad for Bonds. No doubt he used steroids but why is he the only one getting pressed like this? IMO, you can't take away any records now.. considering the large amount of substance abusers. No * either. So fuckin stupid.

    MLB is a mess.

I don't agree at all. It is what it is. In any sport, in any era, when the money is so big, certain guys are going to do whatever it takes.

it certainly is. and getting worse by the day.

    the doping
the ridiculously out of control salaries
    the egomaniacs

i'm not sure it's fixable, and that's a damn shame.

these individuals should be singled out.
at least it would be a step in the right direction.

alot of this stuff coming out is old news...then you mix in overzealous prosecutors and a media that needs to fill up time....this is what you get. Isn't baseball suppose to be testing a bunch more? and penalties suppose to be harsher.

Baseball needs to come together and realize they can only save themselves at this point. Union needs to give a little more and owners need to get it together

Ironic that after the 94 strike this sport had little wiggle room...and they still find a way to screw themselves

Wow, and considering by the time he's done he'll own the good majority of batting records only to have a " * " next to his name like so many others.

I hope to god these f'ers never get into the HOF.

old news....yes. but the rhetoric is getting very tiresome.
and i see nothing wrong with the media keeping these issues in the forefront.

MLB is well aware of its problems. face them. fix them.

these millionaire players need to be called out when they
blatantly and continually are allowed to break the rules,
especially when it comes to performance enhancing drugs.

I'm not sayin to bury it....but this is overkill

I mean nothing is sacred anymore, look at the olympics every couple of years. They are all doping.Look at football lately...lots of names coming out. We as fans I guess need to stay home and invest our money in other forms. Its hard though....I love the game too much

I think it's just as unfair to let certain guys in who we "assume" are clean. Palmiero was assumed to be clean. A-Rod was assumed to be clean. Griffey is assumed to be clean, but it wouldn't surprise me one bit if he was a user. It is not out of the realm of possibility that Roger Maris used steroids in 1961...they did exist.

If Matt Williams (one of the nicest guys on the planet) can use steroids (and he apparently did), anyone can use steroids.

let the numbers decide....try to clean the game up (good luck)...and move on.

It seems like we were moving pass all that steroid mess recently but it keeps creeping back into the game. :(
Last year, it was Clemens, now it's ARod.

Sad really. I, for one, don't care for it as I don't follow much of the offseason or off the field stuff anyways (for any sports I follow). I just watch and enjoy the games!

    Hank - greenies
    Willie - greenies
    Babe - booze and broads
Mickey - booze, greenies and god knows what else
    Ernie - ????

I get your point, put all the eras were different. These days, a hitter probably sees three pitchers a game...starters, situational pitchers, set-up guys, nasty closers (some/most as juiced as the hitters). In Babe's case, he played in a "whites only" time. It's never been easy to hit a baseball.... A-Rod (and it truly pains me to say this) is a great player....he would have been great in the 60s, too. Willie would still be great these days, although he might have had to get on the 'roids to compete  . It is what it is.

    Football? Same thing.

imagine the big red machine on steroids.

yeah and with everyone else using, their talent would still be what sets them apart. Today's "villians" were not acting in a vacuum. And, I hate to say it, but many of today's players "work" harder than the Ruths, Mantles, etc. of yesteryear. :(
