This would be like heaven. I saw Dylan at the Palladium and you just sat back and were blown away as to how intimate this truly is.
I was there for Dylan as well last year. Was amazing to see him play a tiny venue that usually features emo-screamo.......

It was great...I know a roadie so I get free tickets, but it really didn't matter there. But i swear to god when his guitarist strummed that first note to girl from the north country i lost it. haha
Fenway would be fun-all my friends who say Bruuce or the Stones said the sound and seating were miserable.
Manchester, NH for a selfish reason, but for a small venue-

I'd rather they play there than skip the Portland area all together (or play a small show again like on 06 for that matter), but that would be the last venue I'd want them to play. Well, aside from Columbia Meadows anyway....
when they added the upper level it took away from the charm of it. Seats up there suck and the sound system sucks at jba and I heard there's no tailgating
Ron: I just don't feel like going out tonight

The amphitheater at the casino in Elizabeth, IN. It's like a mini Deer Creek. I was expecting a shitty venue with a bunch of bs, but the amphitheater looks like an afterthought. It's GA. Going along one side is bleachers. Going along the other, woods. And, it's completely under the stars.
It even gave STP an outdoorsy, campfire type of vibe, if ya know what I mean. I'm not really sure how to describe it, other than it's what makes PJ so awesome at outdoor shows.

I worked there the last year before the renovation... think it was summer of 97. They can fit a ton more now, I think it only held like 9,000 before the renovation, so that means bigger acts can play. The sound is typically the tour's sound... but you can blame the venue for the general acoustics. Since it's a state park, no alcohol... unless things changed in the years since I moved.
ADD 5,200 to the post count you see, thank you.

Can't argue with that Key Arena comment as my favorite show of all time was there (11/6/00), but they REALLY NEED TO PLAY THE FILLMORE IN SAN FRANCISCO!!! That's the right, the REAL, ORIGINAL, and basically the ONLY FILLMORE (not these Live Nation lipstick on a pig venues being renamed Fillmores). The same stage where Hendrix, Cream, The Who, The Doors, Grateful Dead, Miles Davis, Janis Joplin and countless other legends have played. And not just a show, but a full fledged RESIDENCY!! If Tom Petty can do 20 nights, Pearl Jam could do the same if not more. It is without a doubt the greatest venue in the country.
Not that its a fantastic venue or anything, but I am surprised that Pearl Jam has never played a gig at the Dunkin' Donuts Center (formerly known as the Providence Civic Center) in Providence, RI.

In addition to a weekend stand at ALPINE or a dream show at the metro or vic, realistically id be interested to see a show at the Toyota Center just outside Chicago where the fire play. Theyve had Dave and Buffett, and I wouldnt mind an outdoor Chicago PJ only show. Its been awhile since they werent at the UC or Rosemont (not counting lolla).

I am from wantagh and have seen many concerts at jones beach. tailgating is allowed just as long as you have your beverage in a red cup they dont give people any problems, after all jimmy buffett plays there every year and its the drunkest parking lot ever. the sound i think is decent the one problem is wind, the sound is bad on windy days which is possible being so close to the water. anyway i would LOVE to see pearl jam at jones beach.
and please no baseball stadiums, baseball stadiums hold a lot of people but seating provides such bad views at the stage, i just dont get concerts at baseball stadiums.

Nah his mom would never approve. She's still stuck in the days of Burt Bacarack and Frank Sinatra. Maybe if they did all Rat Pack covers she would!

Indeed, the smaller venues ... (like my aforementioned Fillmore SF request) ... 10c only gigs ... hell yeah.
