Awesome post! It's good to see your funny posts making a come back
However, Riot Act does contain one masterpiece (All or None), which is undeniable.
Agreed. As a certified Riot Act disliker (won't use hater), All or None is a great song. Blown away by it opening the Vic show. Should be used more as an opener in the future.
AoN at the Vic was the single greatest moment of any PJ show I've ever attended. It was unexpected and it was breathtaking.
I agree that Riot Act is their weakest album, and Riot Act is probably the only great song on it. But there are a lot of other very good songs on it too.
Yeah, when I heard that little intro part, we knew we were in for something special that night.

there isnt a song called Riot Act... pfft.. call yourself a fan!
oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

I'll second that! How about a blank CD and cover art and insert with Pictures of ED where he looks hot....
Will there be a commemorative poster to go along with this release? I have my credit card ready.

Obviously one with nothing on it...I would pay $500 for it.

I'll see your blank $500 Jamily poster and raise you a blank tshirt and $250 blank super deluxe version with replica notebook with nothing written in it.
Actually, I was hoping the rumors would have proved true about the second bonus disc consisting of all RA tracks with the vocals removed and replaced with a 54 minute McCready improv solo. Sad to see this not the case.

Only about 10 vinyl copies were made, and there are about 50 Jamily people who want the damn thing.
I know of at least 17 copies.
Listed are their history and likely whereabouts in case you are interested.
6 copies of the original pressing of Riot Act were given to each member of the band. All of which were immediately returned to their manager Kelly Curtis with clear instructions to destroy all copies of the vinyl along will any of the master tapes and hours of alternate takes of this tragic and vile recording.
6 more copies of the vinyl were given to the upper management of Epic (Sony) records who upon disappointing sales and luke warm reaction towards Riot Act, decided to pass them off to their secretaries as Christmas gifts. 3 of the secretaries currently use the albums as mouse pads, while the other 3 copies were reportedly either destroyed or given away to public libraries or Thrift Stores in the greater Los Angeles area.
In the fall of 2003, 2 pressed copies of the vinyl were confiscated by both the CIA and FBI who raided manager Kelly Curtis office. These copies were found in his desk in a folder marked "For Reference Only". These copies are now stored in files at the Pentagon marked "Top Secret".
It is rumoured that both the FBI and CIA received an anonymous tip by a concerned citizen circa 2002 who claimed that he had proof that Pearl Jam's Lead singer Ed Vedder was an outspoken and dangerous critic of "then President" George W. Bush. These copies of the album were used as evidence to back up this concerned citizen's claims. The FBI has often cited the album track "Bushleaguer" as irrefutable proof of Vedder's dislike of President Bush. This case is apparently closed however both copies of Riot Act must remain in CIA and FBI possession until they are "100% certain" that Vedder no longer poses a threat to the life of the former President.
Finally...The remaining 3 copies of the Riot Act Vinyl were bought by self proclaimed "super fan" Doug Spitnick in Fort McMurray Canada upon the albums release. These copies were apparently the only 3 original pressed copies of the Riot Act vinyl physically purchased by a member of the general public.
It is reported that these copies were purchased by Doug through Pearl Jam's fan club (The 10club) of which he is a current member.
Doug bought 3 copies. 1 for himself, and the other 2, for his younger brother and sister. However both were returned to Doug by his siblings who stated that they "hated the album".
Doug currently has 2 of these copies for sale on E-Bay.
It is reported that the current highest bidder who goes by the name: Red Mosquito#5 has offered to buy each album for a reported total of $2.00 CAD.
