OK so I have another question. Until the O6 get back to the Island...are the Losties going to be bouncing around in time for 3+ years? If that's the case and they get shuffled around every hour or so...when do they sleep?? And another question, why is it only affecting that group? Why isn't it affecting the Others or anyone else on the island?

  • Charlotte's having a brain anuerysm (sp?) like that Fisher Steven's dude did....and like the rat did, when Danny was doing the experiments at Oxford. Charlotte needs a constant.

    P.S. I hope she dies...I am *NOT* a fan.
I'd forgotten about that stuff. Now it makes more sense. Why her and not the others may have something to do with her possibly being born on the island.
Glad to learn that I'm not the only Charlotte hater!

As do I...I especially liked what you said here "I have to be honest here and say that Charlotte ranks as my #1 most obnoxious new character from last season. She gets on my last nerve".

I like Miles, too. I remember I liked him when he was on the Sopranos as well.

My guess is no... I think the skipping will start to slow down and allow them longer periods of times between skips before it stops... like ripples in a pond. Now they could drag the skipping out for 3 years and have the shifts occur every day or two instead of every 15 minutes...

I knew I liked you! That makes alot of sense...especially when you think about how Daniel described it as record (spin the black circle).

If they bounce around this much every episode I'm going to feel like I'm on acid. :?
It may be affecting the Others and we don't know about it. They may just understand the effect better and know how to deal with it. Or they may be such a part of the island that they're not affected by it at all.

And I don't think it's happening every hour or so. It seemed like it was happening quickly at first, then taking longer. When Daniel got back to the beach Sawyer said "you've been gone two hours" and when they were trying to build a fire it looked like they'd been working on that for hours. I thought maybe Daniel was trying to stabilize things when he first went looking for the hatch but now I don't know what he's up to.

Oh and ANOTHER thing I forgot I wanted to bring up (I should make a list as I'm watching)...does anyone else think that perhaps Sun hired the lawyers to run the blood tests on K and A?? I just think she's PIIIIIIISSED and out to get revenge for her "dead"??? hubby.

Daniel was looking for the hatch (or anything man made) on the island so that he could get a sense of when in time they were.

The lawyers seem like a Ben ploy, manipulate Kate's situation so that her easiest recourse is to go back to the island to avoid losing Aaron. I think that basically because Ben has made no mention of getting Kate or Aaron to Jack, so he must have something planned.

I don't think it was Sun. She encouraged Kate to go after the people who hired them. My first thought was Benry (he's such a slimy bastard, to scare Kate into leaving), then Jack (to prove that Clare really was his sister), then Widmore (still don't exactly know what he's up to).

I think Daniel can track the time by finding out the time between jumps, or tsomethign like that, so that is why he needed a man made "Constant". But with the 6 having to get back within 70 hours, I don' tknow how many more episodes they are going to have them off the Island.

In my opinion, the "Others" aren't moving because they are already an established part of the island and know its secrets whereupon the Losties, Freighter folk and Juliet are not. Which is why Locke is jumping as well even though he is now in charge of the Others. Locke never had a chance to learn their knowledge yet. And like I posted earlier, the mark on Juliet the Others branded her with makes her no longer one of them which means she is also subject to the time jumping. I wonder if Danielle would have jumped as well if she were still alive.

ok who was the old lady in the church? sorry if this was explained already.

She's Mrs. Hawkins, the woman who told Desmond not to buy the ring for Penny in a prior flashback.

Some people think that she may be Daniel's mother he told Desmond to visit.

I think she was one of the others. I remember when they were showing the episodes about the others Ben was consulting with her.

Holy shit, I think you are right! I had completely forgotten about that scene. That would be a cool twist, especially if she is Daniel's mother.

Ok, I've been doing more brainstorming about the premiere. How come when Michael left the island he couldn't die (back in S4) yet Locke HAD to die when he left?

My best guess... they both had something to do for the island. The island had a purpose for Michael and he couldn't die until his purpose was fulfilled. Locke's purpose was to "die" for the island and bring the Oceanic 6 back.

That's probably the best answer we can come up with until we know more, I suppose. But, what about Walt. He's special. All these 'special' people seem connected with the island...why would the island let him go so easily?

the writers strike :D Although Walt could always make an appearance as Super Walt some point towards the end (I doubt it)
