Giants picked up my buddy from middle and high school, Jerome Cunningham, at tight end! I hope he impresses the team enough that they keep him on the roster for the season.

That's always fun. Lived in like a 6 bedroom house in college and one of the guys I lived with was drafted by the Eagles and briefly played for the Chiefs. He and I didnt really get along though.
Please, let's not have the season end before Columbus Day. It's bad enough that I don't if the Yankees will make it, but if the Giants start to play awful, I'll have to wait a month for UConn basketball to begin. I like my football for four months, not a month and a half.

cliff--meant to ask you guys this.....how do you look back at the coughlin/manning era as a whole? i mean obviously there are 2 sb's and not many other franchises in history can say that, in that time frame.
but to me, it's kind of weird in that i never felt they were a dominant team throughout a season. i think they represent the new parity driven nfl more so than any other team in that if you're playing your best football at the end of the year and get in, anything can happen....

They've had some really good players. But they were either injured or didn't play to their full potential at times. And there were probably a handful of games we lost because our kicker couldn't kick a 30 yarder.

you know what i mean though, right? like heading into a season, i never looked at the giants like world beaters, but yet they have 2 lombardi's in the last 6 years or so. in contrast, i look back on the parcel days and remember feeling the exact opposite of that era but the result was the same. just think it's weird.
also--nice move trading your kicker instead of cutting him, so the eagles couldn't have claimed him off waivers. you bastards!

I don't disagree, but I love this era for obvious reasons. Don't need to be the favorites, just win it all. People were calling for Coughlin's head half way through the season the first time they won.
That said. Those two games are two of my favorite games ever.

yeah i love that more teams have a chance...but i do long for the days of year in, year out, dominant teams...even if they are teams i don't like because they make for better villains.

The year after the first SB they were dominant. But Plaxico had to shoot himself.
Just switched with a guy at work to get tomorrow off. Game starts at midnight here in Ireland and with the normal consumption during a Giants game I wouldn't be fit for work at 8am. LOL
I hate when I miss the first quarter - this parent thing really interferes with important stuff!! Let's go Big Blue!!! Eli - if I believe - you've got to believe!!!!
How was the offensive line so far? Are they protecting Eli? Well, from what just happened, i'd say no.
