    The ring is sick! Love the blue in it. It also has "All In" incorporated in it.

    A day after the Giants receiver their championship rings for winning Super Bowl XLVI comes word that Hall of Fame linebacker Lawrence Taylor is selling his Super Bowl XXV ring.

    According to SCP Auctions, the ring has received 12 bids with the top bid, as of mid-day on Thursday, at $$67,292. The auction ends on Saturday. The estimated value of the ring is $75,000 - $100,000.

    The oft-troubled Taylor is clearly in some financial distress to take the drastic step of peddling one of his two Super Bowl rings. Taylor was also on the Super Bowl XXI winning team.

    The auction house describes the ring as “arguably the most significant Super Bowl player ring ever offered publicly’’ and goes on to state “it features two football shaped diamonds on the face surrounded by worn blue enameling framed by seventeen smaller diamonds.’’

    The name “TAYLOR” is engraved on the left shank above a Giants helmet and his number “56”. Engraved on the interior band in the full name “LAWRENCE TAYLOR”. 

    According to the press release, “the ring shows considerable wear, that in some eyes, only enhances it aura.’’ Anyone who purchases the ring receives a notarized letter of authenticity from Taylor.

    Obviously he's brought a lot of his troubles on himself but I still feel bad for the guy. He was such a beast on the field easily  my favorite giant of all time. 

    I do have a amusing LT story, he plays golf at my course all the time and one day he was out with our former pro who must have been in his late 60's at the time. He used to play with him a lot, always some gambling going on when he's on the course,  anyway from what I heard LT kept putting out of turn and the pro finally snapped and took a swing at him. Luckily  for the pro's sake LT  didn't retaliate back.

    That was a bad one. The Vikes, Panthers, and of course the Eagles have owned us the last few years.

    The game that really made me go crazy was when Vince Young led the Titans to a comeback win over us.

    Ah yes, definitely good for him. Take his time and be back healthy. At least it's not during the season.
