  • Anyone remember few years ago - Bruce Springsteen played a bunch of shows to close the old Giants Stadium. He opened every night with the same song. A brand new song he wrote for the occasion entitled - Wrecking Ball -- which was a tribute to the meadowlands and the Giants. I believe this video montage was playing on the screens a few of the nights.

I figured this is a nice way to start the week...

*PS -- Bruce new album coming out in march, containing this song, is called .... wrecking ball. hmm..

    Thanks for the video!

NFL Network on demand has their series America's Game, where it's about all the Super Bowl winning teams and my dad and I watched the 86, 90, 07 seasons yesterday as a way to prepare. So excited for the game! 6 days!

Not a gambler at all, but I always put money on any of my teams when they are in the championship, so I'll be putting something decent on the moneyline.
  • Im going to a SB party on Sunday and there's sure to be some females there uttering the following phrases:

"That Eli looks like a nice boy"
    or
"I like the Giants and their Blue jerseys"
    or
"I like that Tom Coughlin. He was the coach at BC right? My cousin's nephew just got in to BC!"

    I might lose it...

Looks like I am heading to an outdoor superbowl party upstate. Will not have to worry about any Pats fans or chicks since it's going to be about 20 degrees out and being indoors is not an option.
  • Never heard of that what's the deal with a outdoor party is it at someone's house?

Yeah, a buddys dad and his friends always host an outdoor party, it's a great time. Get a projector, a bunch of TVs, grill up some crazy shit and have all types of good beer. It rotates bewteen a few guys houses and this year the guy hosting has about 100 acres just outside of Albany and is having a huge fire to go along with it. Cant fucking wait.
  • That sounds pretty awesome definitely different

"I like the Giants and their Blue jerseys"

This one will be notably hilarious as the Patriots will be in ther home blue jerseys.

Oh yeah. Ooops. I guess that won't be one of the annoying phrases uttered.

I'm glad the Pats are wearing blue. The only thing better than that would be to unleash Pat Patriot for the game.

I'm watching it ... it's pretty funny actually.

Favored offensive juggernaut vs the underdog Giants.

The Giants m.o. was to hang about 7 or 8 guys in coverage, usually 5 or 6 DBs ... and simply beat the shit out of the Bills receivers.

The Bills have an all pro everything back in Thurman Thomas which they reluctantly used to combat this.

Reminds me SO much of the Pats strategy in Superbowl 36 vs. the Rams ... but Martz was too freakin' stubborn to use Faulk.

Ooof, Andre Reed playing the part of Isaac Bruce, getting the shit knocked out of him all over the field.

See, at one point, y'all loved Belichick!

And here is Bill Belichick's defensive game plan that is in the hall of fame:

Have to run the ball really well and get to Brady. The running game needs to explode on Sunday and just dominate.

We essentially shut down a better running back than both Jacobs and Bradshaw in the AFC championship. Gonna be tough to run on Vince & Co.

Yes it will. Just remember, the Giants didn't have Bradshaw the first time both teams met in the regular season.
