That was their radio pbp guy, who is the man. Their TV guys are the absolute worst

I love scott franzke. They need to put him on TV and let Jim jackson (who is great) call games on the radio. Ship Mccarthy and Wheels off to somewhere terrible, like pittsburgh

Did you read the article? I'm guessing that's a 'no'

Would be nice if you brought something productive to this thread for a change...rather than running off and telling on people

anyone article or person who has watched more than 5 games this season and can make the argument that hunter pence, in all of his god-awfullness this season, has been as productive as ryan howard is so fucking absurd it's laughable.

and again it makes no mention of the affect that certain players have on the rest of the lineup. ryan 4th and pence 6th is about 100x better than pence 4th and the slop that has been hitting 6 this year. even an ahole like you can't deny that.

i guess people who jump off the bandwagon, sell their tickets, and stop watching wouldn't really no the difference though if they just read a chart once in a while.

FU Derek Jeter, Erin Andrews and Fox. So instead of showing a player's 1st ever All-Star at-bat, we get to see a guy that's been in a million AS games talk about another guy thats been in a million AS games.
    Alright, alright, alright!

Yeah ya know I watched the game (though I was also reading a book and didn't pay that close of attention), and wondered how the heck I missed Ruiz's at-bat.

Sign Hamels, trade Shane and get Brown up now! He's 11 for his last 19. We need to see what he truly is and now is the time to do it. The only other thing is to hope he continues to kill it so his trade value goes back up.

howard has looked great since coming back. already in playoff form.

as for the article, it has hard data showing that howard's production doesn't equal his reputation (with most phils fans...which is funny since they watch him more than the avg fan and should know that he's average at this point in his career). it also shows that the 4 hole has been more productive this year (and last year) than it was with howard hitting there. so if you think pence is so bad it doesn't make any sense that you think howard is so great. personally I think they both suck

affect/effect...you must have missed that lesson in 4th grade

I still watch the games chief. You should try doing the same...it would be a nice start towards you not sounding so uneducated.

so the phils have a barren farm system and they fail to budget for one of their 2nd round picks. he didn't sign due to a 180k demand (diff between what phils offered and what he wanted). he was one of only 8 players taken in the top 10 rounds that wasn't signed (he was the 3rd highest draftee to not sign)

    amaro really needs to go

    Here ya go Cliffy

CBS Sports' Jon Heyman reports that the Yankees have "talked to the Phillies" about Shane Victorino.
The asking price is "too high" at the moment, Heyman has been told, but that could change as the July 31 trade deadline draws closer. Victorino, 31, is batting .245/.311/.379 with eight home runs, 19 stolen bases and 38 RBI in 89 games this season. He's set to hit the free agent market five days after the 2012 World Series.

I gave Fox equal parts blame for this travesty.
