 Bright lights.....dude, sports in Philly are 1000 times more scrutinized/criticized/involved than they are anywhere else in the country - that's including your overinflated city. We are psychos to the highest degree, there's no denying that.

His past couple starts haven't been good. Before that he had alot of bad luck. He should easily have 5-6 wins by now though.

You guys are nuts, no doubt, but the difference in New York is the media. They will run you out of town at a drop of a hat if they don't like you.

And that hasn't happened here? I just enjoy J's "Yay New York, We're the best fuckin' city in the World (USA! USA! USA!)" mantra. It's neat.

I am sure it has, but you better fucking believe that if the Yankees were 6 games under .500 and in last place right now, heads would be fucking rolling and the media would be having a field day.

Yes, this is true, it would lead to an overreaction by management and the media, yes.

But really, if Lee ended up in a Yanks uniform in a month you two would be giddy as little school girls.

Definitely an overreaction, but that has been the name of the game with the Yanks and especially the media until recently.

Fuck Cliff Lee. That wouldn't be a very warm welcoming.

Oh bullshit. Open arms easily. You can't play .600+ ball with that rotation all season.

I wonder if he'd go to the Dodgers. If so i'd have an agreement in place with Hamels based on trading lee away. Everyone knows that LA has loot and wants Hamels. I wonder if they'd settle for Lee instead?

Not like they would have been. He'd definitely have to perform to be accepted more than he would have had to. We shall see, barring a gigantic slump, this team is in cruise control to the playoffs and we all know how those work.

Edit: I'll preface this by saying, I think the chance of the Yanks ending up with Lee is basically 0% but it'd be hilarious if they ended up with him for less than they were willing to pay.

Cruise control? I wouldn't go that far. And, yes, it's a crapshoot.

Yeah, they won't trade for him, I'm just hoping. I know that sounds fucked up, but the Phils have bigger shit to deal with right now and they have to do something.

If I were a team that had my sights set on Hamels, and were comfortable with the potential cost and the risk associated with the free agent market, I wouldn't settle. That's a really big risk though.

That's why i throw his name out there. Say there's 5-7 serious options for Hamels out there. I'd see which ones Lee would wave his no trade clause for. I'd then say were trading Lee period and using that money for the deal we already have in place with Cole. That way we can still have teams bidding for Lee and thus getting us some good prospects in return.

if Cano and Jeter missed the whole season and Sabathia was out for a month would heads really be rolling for the Yanks? how many teams would survive without their 2 best offensive players all season so far and their number 1 starter for a month?

wow i guess the 'neers really have jumped ship. Chase coming back and no one has commented yet? Loved his comments about everyone counting him and the team out. we need some of that attitude. now if only we had any semblance of a bullpen :)
