yeah me too. 3 with a 4th option. of course he's gonna say 5 years though. he should try to get all he can get obviously. if san fran gives him five, then so be it.

if he comes back, i wonder if we see him slide over to third in a couple years after polanco is out of here and young galvis is ready.

today's Inquirer mentioned that Chase Utley had the 2nd lowest percentage of line drives of any player in the majors this year with 300 or more at-bats. not good. can't believe our sabermaticians here haven't brought that one up. i guess when it's the golden boy no one mentions it.

pitching was decent....hitting sucked, but htey got a ton of timely hits....

i remember reading somewhere that the pirates 2nd half was one of the worst in the history of the game.
