welcome to the World Series...the Brewers suck at sports0

The Fixer wrote:1 - The only philly team to win it all as a favorite in the last 50 years was the 2nd flyers team (75-76?? I always get the years mixed up)
2 - This season is a complete failure without a WS appearance (I'd say WS win, but whatever). It's not like they have any major injuries to blame a playoff choke on.
A loss to the Cards would be up there with the Eagles losing to Tampa as the biggest choke job in philly playoff history.
1 - Yeah I think I agree, I'm just saying they've had a lot of talent and have been picked to win and just have not succeeded in that role
2 - it would definitely be a choke if they don't win they don't win the WS but maybe this team just doesn't have the heart to get it done all done. It was entertainIng from April to September, but yes, they will be losers when it matters most; I just don't know what else the organization could done to put a better team together.0 -
The Brewers are better than everyone at home that's how, and Yovanni is sick nasty. Doesn't matter we can't win.0

how can you defend him at this point? seriously, how????
he has been absolutely horrendous. 'just get me to the plate'...larussa is intentionally walking guys to get to him because he knows he blows. and it's not like pence has been on fire. that should tell you all you need to know.
awful, just plain awful. I'm sick of people defeding this overrated piece of garbage. he fucking stinks0 -

biggest spot in the game...3 pitch K. disgusting0 -
Not trying to make excuses if we lose, but I sorta see why purists (Bob Costas-like fellows) dislike the divisional series or think that the #1 seed deserves a bye. Anything can happen in a 5-game series whereras the better team almost always wins a 7-game series. Our bad-ass starting rotation would be a much bigger advantage in a 7 game series where each of the top 3 guys gets two starts.
But whatever, it's all hands on deck Friday night. Or pinch hitting. At least he's a lefty pinch hitter who has the possibility of getting the ball to the outfield.0

haha, you beat me to it.
I'm against byes in the playoffs. too big of an advantage in baseball. all playoff series should be 7 games...agree with that. the 5th playoff team is completely unnecessary IMO
Halladay should have started last night. series would be over. manuel has gotten schooled in this series0 -

Fixer, couldn't say it better myself. That $125 M is going to bite them in the ass hard.
Anyway....these 8 guys who have no idea how to work a pitcher need to get those bats working by tomorrow night!
Doc, we need you...it's why you're here.

that was kind of lame tho no? ... i mean sliders are generally designed to break outside the strike zone ... otherwise they would get hit ...
either way - they will get a solid start from halladay ... if they can put 3 runs up early ... that'll allow him to go the distance and they won't have to pinch hit for him ...0 -

And with all those RBI he's getting with dudes on base too! Not like Jimmy and Chase are hitting like a combined .5500 -

well he is personally responsible for 1 of the 2 wins we have so far.
and why do you guys not say anything about the 4 aces? our starting rotation have given up 13 runs in 26 innings for an era of 4.50 and only one of the 4 has gotten through 6 innings. that boys is not good enough for the supposed greatest rotation in history.0 -

thing is ... you're also in the NL ... your starters not going beyond 6 is a function of the game ... hamels could have pitched into the 8th but you guys pinch-hit and obviously, rightly so ... but it wasn't because he was out of gas ...0
