well, i'm gonna be utterly useless at work today...

    THAT.

    WAS.

    INSANE.

a loss in a game like that, after blowing the lead, would have been devastating. can't believe today is a 1:05er :lol::lol::lol:

    GO PHILS!

well i made it to the 16th, around 12:30 down there last night before heading home. couldn't see staying around for the vaunted baez, valdez, martinez inning at the plate. got home in time to see end on tv though. valdez throwing 88 insane. priceless to see him get Votto and Bruce out. just imagine if Ryan made an out against an infielder how much shit would be flying here. and thanks Dusty Baker for hitting Scott Rolen 4th to break up his stud lefties. jeez Rolen must kill the Pirates or something because he blows against us.

Valdez - the first player to start a game in the field and then earn the W as a pitcher in 90+ years. He will forever be linked to Babe Ruth, (in that respect), for his performance last night, hahaha. Loved seeing him shaking off Sardinha and everything, that was hilarious.

We had to bail after 10 innings with a tired babysitter at the house waiting to go home and sleep.

I stayed up and watched 18 innings, then went to bed, couldn't sleep, and turned TV back on to see the bottom of the 19th, and didn't realize until this morning that I missed Exxon pitching.

we jetted after the 13th. the wife gets up at 5 every day so that is understandable. wish i could have stayed to the end though.

got home, cracked open some more beers and watched the rest of the game with the dog.

amazing night.....how about taking the series today?!

crazy. they mentioned tomas perez was the last phils position player to pitch in a game. i don't remember that. but for some reason i remember one, glen wilson, coming out of right field to relieve someone like 23 years ago or something

my last two games i've been to have been a combined 34 innings. last night and the sunday night bin laden Mets game. this team is playing 2 1/2 hour games on the norm and i get the two longest games by far. i was also at the Orioles 16 inning fireworks game a few years ago. crazy stuff. at work with about 4 hours of sleep does suck. will hit me tonight i'm sure. so far so good though. win today and its .500 for the tough stretch with the lousy teams coming up again. hard to argue with that.

yeah next few weeks definitely appear favorable.

.500 or so the last few weeks is fine by me. about what i expected.

can't wait for shane to come back so we have our regular lineup together for the first time.

he was a top 10 prospect. took him a while to figure things out, but he's good.

I hope Lee is ready to throw 8 innings today

Why do I feel like this team will lay up today? Just seems like they would.

RH'ers are terrified to pitch to him. Extra runner on base for Raul HR.

also-- i hereby apologize for ripping ibanez earlier this year. i thought he was done. but dude has been ripping the cover off the ball for a month now. hopefully he just levels out once this hot stetch is over and doesnt go through another of his prolonged slumps.

gotta give charlie credit for sticking with him.

I confirmed my understanding that Dusty Baker had two more pitchers in his bullpen last night. He is absolutely horrible. Now today Homer Bailey was removed after 4 innings for some reason.
