And this is the SAME team that put up 13 to tie the Cincinatti Bengals? This is ridiculous...seriously - get some consistency. That's right, I'm pissed that they're beating Zona by 21.

i'm watching the game and your post kept going through my head. pretty funny, good for a laugh, thanks....:)

I KNEW IT! The Fat Man just said Marty was calling the plays! Why does he have to be so stubborn and turn over the play calling once the season is practically over?!?!
Hey, I do what I can.....All this is going to do is get my hopes up again...and I don't need that...
keep hope alive, my friend! they did it a couple of years ago after everyone had counted them out. maybe the winds of fortune will be at their backs again, maybe not. it was good to see them playing well last night, at least. donovan had a fantastic first half. i missed seeing him run...just not quite as fast as he used to be...;)

This is true because they went on that run when Marty was calling the plays. Then again, you're not from Philly - no offense. Just saying you have more of a positive attitude as opposed to us. But 10 wins will get you in the playoffs, and if we did - though it's a huuuge long shot - that tie doesn't look that bad anymore.

i think the giants game will be very interesting. i know i am rooting for every team ahead of us to lose today--and its very likely that most of them will. we could be a game and a half out by the end of the day. still not very likely they will get in. but if we somehow beat the giants, i say we get in.
too little too late I say...gonna be a stretch to think this team can win 4 straight and pray for a miracle
I think pray for a miracle is a little much. Now this is a big if, but if the Eagles can beat the Giants Sunday, they control their playoff destiny. Because if they win out the Cowboys will not win all 3 of their upcoming games against the Steelers, Giants and Ravens.
That would make the game the last week of the season a winner goes to the playoffs loser goes home game home against Dallas at the Linc.

would be a very exciting ending to the regular season!

I'm going to this game so this would be awesome, and just build my list of awesome Philly games I've been to this year(Phils clinch division, Shane's slam against CC, NLCS GM 1, and the World Series clincher).
That would make the game the last week of the season a winner goes to the playoffs loser goes home game home against Dallas at the Linc.
A lot more than that would have to happen to make the final game basically a playoff game. There are 6 other teams besides Dallas who have a better record than the Eagles (and not in the division lead). That means they would have to get past 5 of the 7 (those 6 + Dallas)to make the playoffs.

This is true, but a 10 win team is getting in the playoffs. The only shot they have, again a long one, is to run the table. IF(A reeeeally big "if") they were to do that, then they definitely make it.

I wouldn't say definite but I see what you're saying .
Damn I never thought a tie would matter that much.

True, but Atlanta, Tampa Bay and Carolina are all playing each other the next few weeks. Only 2 of them will survive out of that division opening up the final Wild Card for whoever does better in the stretch run of Dallas, Washington and Philly.
If Philly wins out they pass Washington and and if Dallas loses one other game, they pass Dallas.
Only Carolina, Atlanta, Dallas and Washington are ahead of the Eagles so I'm not sure where you are getting 6 teams are ahead of the Eagles for a Wild Card spot.

Read what I wrote- it was on record alone. So yes, Philly will have to pass all those teams. If they win out, yes they pass Wash and Dallas (if Dallas loses another game) but all three teams can still come out of the South.
EDIT: To say of they win out it will be them and Dallas in a lose or go home game doesn't make sense at this point. A lot more needs to happen for that to be the case.

Eagles are 5th in WC standings. So how are there 6 teams who have a better record than the Eagles for a WC spot.
As I said early, NFC South will cannibalize itself leaving only the division winner and one wild card leaving the other wild card for whoever comes in 2nd in the NFC East.

Sorry about that, counted 6-6s ahead of Philly. Damn those ties!
And I see what you're saying about the NFC South- I'm just saying that it can't be ruled out of the question.

No problem. The tie actually helps out the Eagles because say they have 10 wins and so do the Bears, the Eagles get in because of the tie even though the Bears beat them.
Of course a win would have been much, much better ... lol.
