rough game. looks like there'll be a few guys feeling it tomorrow. i hope westbrook is ok. it's so evident how integral his contributions to the team are when he gets taken out of a game.
God bwest better be ok, we aren't very scary on offensive without him. On the bright side Holy BLITZADELPHIA. I can't remember the last time we played to good on d. Let's go BIRDS!

indeed. 6 sacks in one quarter! ben came into the game already banged up...can't imagine he's feeling any better now.

good win, though. 2-1.
go eagles!
ugh, i hope he's ok, too. i can't even enjoy this win. :( my brother's a huge steelers fan and i was taunting him up until that point. after westbrook went down i stopped because i didn't want bad karma affecting the prognosis.

good thinking, nfanel. let's hope it's just something that needs a few days rest.
Congrats to the Eagles- I knew the Steelers line was going to get exposed sooner or later. I am just glad Ben did not get killed. By the 3rd quarter, I was surprised he was still getting up off the ground.
...got a mind full of questions and a teacher in my soul...
The Eagles are going to the Super Bowl and will beat the San Diego Chargers...

surrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrre they are. ill have some of what you are smoking...
giants are going to beat whoever the gayFC sends. i am going to take a stab and say the jags. denver...zero d. cant stop the 11 of us. colts arent what they were. chargers...somethings missing from this team. patriots...no. cassel is not the answer.
eagles have no offense....especially with westbrook out. whats the injury anyway? is he made of glass? hes hurt every year. i guess thats what hapens when you touch the ball more than the QB.
All that's sacred, comes from youth....dedications, naive and true.

Flannel Shirt you are a complete homer...the Giants arent that good and WILL get exposed when they meet the best the NFC has to offer...The Eagles and the Dallas Cowboys...mark my words. You're defense was tested..and exposed yesterday. You barely made it past them and the Redskins. Stop the nonesense. The Eagles played the first 2 games without their top 2 receivers and put up 35+ points. We manhandled the Steelers yesterday..your sorry team has to play the Steelers, Cowboys, and Eagles in a row...3 loses buddy..then Arizona and thats not a guaranteed win. Seattle? another loss and then the Eagles and Cowboys back to back again....its over..10-6 is the best you can hope for....Eli is a fraud. Defense isnt that good.
Redskins- 209 total offensive yards 1 Td
Rams- 201 total offensive yards 1 Td and 2 field goals
Bengals- 347 total offensive yards 2 Td's 3 field goals
combined record of 2-7
Eagles gave up:
Rams: 166 total offensive yards and 1 field goal
Cowboys: 380 total offensive yards and 4 TD's
Steelers: 180 total offensive yards and 2 field goals
combined record- 5-4
Lets recap Mr "Oh the Giants are the best team ever":
Eagles : 726 total yds surrendered 4 Td's 3 Fg combined record of teams 5-4
Giants : 757 total yds surrendered 4 Td's 5 Fg combined record of teams 2-7 (this is the key right here..the records of the opponents)

I would not say the Bengals QB and Receivers are light years ahead of the Steelers. The Eagles played really well yesterday and did things on Defense that they had not doen the first two weeks, and the Steelers played really bad on Offense and were not prepared for the game. The Steelers D played well and still knocked McNabb around. It is only 3 games in, still a lot of games left.

ok so the eagles have ONLY given up 31 yds less and 2 fg's and D-Mac has only about 80 yds over Eli with ONLY 1 TD more and ONLY 9 points higher rating WHICH can be changed in a matter of a week..wow  such a big differnece
and why is the record of the teams we beat so important? Are we supposed to choke and lose to them so the haters can say "OH, yall lost to scrubs?? for the 300th post...we'll give ya some positive news
PHILADELPHIA -- Brian Westbrook limped around without crutches Monday. He could be back to running and slashing this week.
The All-Pro running back is day to day with a strained ankle, encouraging news for a Philadelphia Eagles team that can't afford to lose its top offensive player, Westbrook. "I'm sure it'll be a race to get him ready for Sunday," coach Andy Reid. "We'll see how he does. I think we can manage it."
Westbrook injured his right ankle while hurdling a teammate on a 2-yard run on the first play of the second quarter of Sunday's 15-6 win over Pittsburgh. He walked to the locker room without help, but didn't return and left the stadium on crutches.
An MRI revealed no torn ligaments, Reid said.
"He's limping around without the crutches," Reid said. "I guess that's a positive."
The versatile Westbrook led the NFL with a franchise-record 2,104 total yards from scrimmage last season and earned his second trip to the Pro Bowl. He signed a new three-year contract in August worth $21 million, including $13 million guaranteed the first two years.
Westbrook scored five touchdowns in the first two games this season. He has 161 yards rushing and 46 more receiving.
Quarterback Donovan McNabb, who missed five plays against the Steelers in the third quarter, has a bruised chest. McNabb, who also had an MRI, is expected to play against Chicago on Sunday night.

"Do I think he'll be sore this week? Yeah, he's sore today," Reid said. "I think he'll progressively get better as the week goes on. We'll see how he does."
A third-round pick out of Division I-AA Villanova in 2002, Westbrook has never played a full season. He's missed 13 games during his seven-year career, including playoffs.
If Westbrook doesn't play, Correll Buckhalter will start in his spot. Buckhalter had 43 yards rushing on 10 carries and caught six passes for 44 yards, including a 20-yard TD, against Pittsburgh.
Lorenzo Booker also would see more action. The Eagles acquired Booker in a draft-day trade with Miami to provide insurance for Westbrook. Booker is a quick runner with elusive skills in the open field.
Two-time Pro Bowl guard Shawn Andrews (back), fullback Tony Hunt (concussion) and tight end L.J. Smith (back) also are on Philadelphia's injury list. Andrews, who sat out against the Steelers, is day to day, though Reid said his back hasn't improved much. Hunt should be ready to play against the Bears. Smith still needed more evaluation.
Wide receiver Kevin Curtis, sidelined since having surgery for a sports hernia last month, will get some work with the scout team this week.
