Haven't watched it in awhile. Still holds pretty well. Although I do have a question, why was there a cat on board on the mission?
Because she loves her cat and wants him to be with her. Those trips she was taking were years long.
I love Jonesy! He is the only true survivor from the franchise. I actually named my own beloved cat (now deceased) after him - had a nice ring with my last name. RIP Jonesy Jones. Vets always chuckled when they looked at the chart. :)
was that her cat? Didn't know if he was a stowaway, part of the mission or someone else's cat. Funny/cool that you named your cat after him.

Actually just saw Captain Marvel which "starred" another orange tabby cat named Goose.  Good marvel film, decent 90's soundtrack and music nods during the film.

Watched The Highwaymen last night.  Solid acting, decent film, and some gorgeous cars to boot.  Took a bit to get to the meat of the movie but overall not bad.  The soundtrack was reminiscent of Deadwood.

    Love Woody.

Yeah, that was her house cat that she took with her on her missions. :) Luckily she left him behind after she was found and brought back to Earth at the beginning of Aliens. She knew it was too dangerous for him by then.

Took two carloads of kids to see Wonder Park over the weekend, hit the recliner button on my theater seat, and quickly fell asleep.

    That was an expensive nap.

Saw the new Pet Sematary over the weekend.  Definitely recommend it.  Its very different from the original movie and Ive heard it sticks closer to the book as well.  Plus even Stephen King said recently in an interview that he likes this new version better.

It wasn't said explicitly, but it I think it was made pretty clear. The cat was very obviously her own cat and not some stray/stowaway - it was put into hypersleep along with all the other people, and it lived in her own quarters.

I finally got a chance to watch "Free Solo", with Alex Honnold (took forever to get the disc from Netflix).  My favorite climbing movie is still "Meru" but this one is so close!  And the feat itself- beyond great.   I'll probably watch it again a couple times over the weekend (maybe why it took so long to get, lol!)

    Pet Semetary (2019)

Overall I kinda liked it. First half pretty much stuck with the original film. After that not so much, but in a way it works. Still prefer the original one.

First Reformed    Ethan Hawke is great in this and writer/director Paul Schrader's screenplay is exceptional.  Definitely a heavy, thought provoking movie.  I'd love to get my hands on a copy of the screenplay just to have the several quotes that really stand out.  Great stuff for when you're in the mood for something soul searching.

If you enjoyed those two, you should check out The Dawn Wall, if you haven't already. It chronicles Tommy Caldwell & Kevin Jorgensen's attempt to be the first two to Free Climb the Dawn Wall. Very good.
