I've had some bad takes and shared incorrect info from time to time like everybody does, but nothing I'm ashamed of...until now. This post I'm about to make in this "What Was The Last Movie You Watched" thread is something I'm completely ashamed of and if you want to ridicule me, you have the right...………….

    Freddy Got Fingered
That one little musical clip from the trailers, "Daddy would you like some sausage?", was all worth it.
That is one of the scenes I think of and laugh.  He has the various sausages tied up to go up and down in accordance with his playing of the keyboard?  Hahaha.

See, watching that made me think of Rip Torn and how I could laugh at him cursing out his idiot kid.

He does a good job with the crap he's given in the movie.

    Halloween (2018)

I liked it a lot.  Some pretty cool death scenes and nice references/nods to the first film.  Ending was kinda cool.

    Lights Out...

Is there fucking anyone that knows how to make a good horror film anymore? I will say the opening sequence was pretty decent but it lost any potential after that.

    Hereditary

I liked it a fair bit actually. It was better than I expected it to be. The ending left something to be desired, and the acting job the teenage boy does needed a bit of work IMO, but it was entertaining and held my attention.

Molly’s Game - really enjoyed it despite not caring about poker or gambling.  I love Jessica Chastain though.

Singin’ in the Rain - An all time classic.  Though I tend to picture a particular scene in A Clockwork Orange when I hear the title tune.

I'm not a huge Gaga fan but she was incredible. Both singing and acting.

Also loved EVs speaking voice and corduroy coat in a supporting role!

Pretty decent directorial debut by Jonah Hill.  Soundtrack was also very good.

  • Bohemian Rhapsody - I mostly enjoyed it, though I can see why it's getting mixed reviews.  On the one hand, I think the casting was superb, Rami Malek in particular, was spot on, but I think this was going to be an impossible film to get 'right'.  The truth is that Freddie Mercury was a very troubled character, and with the high highs came the really low lows.  Trying to capture that, yet still deliver an uplifting film to match the general public's view of him as a rock god was a very difficult task.

    Extinction

It wasn't too bad, and I didn't find it predictable. Definitely not great either. It just could have been worse. I do like Michael Pena.

    The Stuff (1985)
Oddly enjoyable for a terrible, campy, sexist, 80s budget quasi-creature feature. Michael Moriarty did a bizarrely good job in this IMO - there was something weirdly appealing about his performance.
