Bandits (2001)
The Seven Ups (1973) - Great car chase scene in this movie. Fitting that it's from the producer of Bullit and French Connection.
Bang The Drum Slowly (1973) - That other 1973 breakthrough performance from Robert DeNiro. Great against type performance.0 -
I don't think there has ever been a baseball movie that wasn't any good. I LOVE baseball movies.HesCalledDyer said:A League Of Their Own
Haven't seen it in a while. Definitely has a very dated 90's look & feel but still remains one of my favorite baseball movies ever. With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful. Strive to be happy. ~ Desiderata0 -

But the best ones are
The Natural
Eight Men Out
Brewster's Millions
Money Ball
(and all baseball documentaries, especially the Ken Burns one)
The great thing about baseball movies is that they can be totally serious or totally ridiculous... they still capture baseball.I mean, Fever Pitch is great, Major League of course, Little Big League, Mr. 3000, and that one where the kid breaks his arm and it heals into the best pitching arm of all time and he immediately becomes an MLB pitcher at the age of 12.
.... all so dumb but so entertaining IMO.

San Andreas
I actually expected it to be a lot worse. It is a reasonably kind of okay disaster flick (as those kinds of movies go. It's all relative, lol). With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful. Strive to be happy. ~ Desiderata0 -
Oh yeah. That's good too. There are tons of good baseball movies!Who Princess said:How can you leave out Bull Durham?!

As well as one I saw on Starz today, Bang The Drum Slowly. I finally saw the Natural on Crackle a week ago and it's a classic.PJ_Soul said:

Stardust....it had a star-studded cast for a movie I've never heard of and was surprising great! We all three really enjoyed it, being myself, my 14 year old daughter and my 5 year old cousin whom I am currently raising...Music is my Religion and Pearl Jam, my Savior!
