TBF, he doesn't ham it up compared to usual crazy Cage performances like Wicker and Face Off. Malkovich and Buscemi are in charge of that.

Kon Tiki - kind if an interesting movie about a scientist that wanted to prove it's possible to drift on raft from South America to Polynesia with the currents.

Bridge of Spies. I've heard people say it's boring but I liked it.

MI5 with Kit Harrington. Sadly, I could not get through more than and hour. Bad bad bad....

Was this based on the TV show? Its plots were really, really out there.

Argo, not bad, even worse than the historical inaccuracies was the non-mention (dare I say passive denial?) of the failed attempt to rescue the hostages. Good men died that night, but Tony Mendez is the only one glorified? C'mon...

Passengers - interesting flick about a plane crash. Should have remembered the story from last time but I didn't! Kinda predictable.
late PJ bloomer- what was I doing in the 90's that I didn't know who Pearl Jam was???

The failed rescue attempt deserves its own movie but it's separated by time and circumstances from the events in Argo. The people Mendez was getting out were never hostages; they escaped the embassy before it was taken over and were in hiding. Smuggling a few people out early in the situation was different from a military operation to rescue 52 hostages, undertaken after several months of failed negotiations.

    Deadpool. It's very good!
    and
The H8ful Eight. Really liked it a lot. I think it's been somewhat underrated actually.

The Hateful Eight- surprised at the criticism towards this one. I thought it was great.

I never annointed it as anything other than likeable- which is saying a lot given its genre and the challenges horror flicks have in making likeable movies.

Speaking of The Shining... I watched it this past weekend for the 20th time or so. It's a classic.

I despise The Shining. Absolute crap because it basically makes no sense compared to the book. It got rid of literally every meaningful event or explanation in that story to the point where there is not even any point to it. It's barely even about "the Shining" and doesn't even explain what the hell it has to do with what's happening. Also, Wendy is fucking useless - an embarrassment to women. Hate it. :)
