Frankenweenie --- it was pretty cool -- classic Tim Burton style. My nephew who is 4 said "if you are wondering if the bad guys were creeping me out - the answer is yes"

I just finished watching Inherit the Wind (1960) on television. Not a bad film. 8/10 in my opinion.

"ffolkes" (known as North Sea Hijack in the UK), a pretty decent old action movie starring Roger Moore (even though it's an action movie he's playing way against type) and Anthony Perkins.

I actually really enjoyed it. It was just a little confusing.

Lord Of The Rings - all of them!

I saw Fellowship when it came out and really didn't get what all the fuss was about. Then when everybody was going nuts about about how amazing they were I kinda backed away. I always said I'd see them when the hype died down a bit and I wasn't being told how much I'd love them. I've now watched all 3 of the Extended Edition blu-rays in the last few weeks. I enjoyed them all but I've had my fill of elves and orcs for a while!

The Grey with Liam Neeson. It was stupid in that plane crashes in the wilderness and the survivors get stalked by killer wolves and beligerently argue way too much to the detriment of their own safety kind of way, but it was also reasonably entertaining in that sense of I've been home sick and am dying of boredom oh god please let this movie entertain me. Plus, Liam Neeson is a bad ass. :)

How was it? Looks like a fun nod to the first generation video games.

yeah def. a fun nod to the first gen video games. :D I posted a brief review in the movie thread. I enjoyed it a lot. Very good possibility of winning animated film of the year at teh Oscars (at least should be nominated).

The last movie I watched was "What's eating Gilbert Grape?"

It was a movie I didn't see years ago so when I saw it on streaming Netflix, I wanted to watch.

    It was good. :corn:

    Yeah.

I was amazed at the way that family expected him to take care of his brother, work at his job, AND take care of repairing that house! It was really too much!

    Unbreakable.

Some people say his first movie with Bruce Willis was his best, but I prefer this one. One of the better comic book-inspired superhero movies out there, too.

Went to a 007 double feature this afternoon. Saw Thunderball and Dr No. Thunderball is better than I remember, while Dr No dropped a notch from where it previously stood in my memory.

    Let Me In.

Not your typical vampire movie. It was really, really good. Seriously.

Have you seen Let the Right One In? That was what the Remake Let Me In was based on. It came out of Sweden and is a superior film imo. Tremendous stuff.
