Uhhh... so the Human Centipede movies. What the fuck?!?! :fearful: The first one is fucking sick and demented (though the sicko in it is a good horror character), but the second one actually gets to the point of being unwatchable because of how totally sick it is. Pretty sure I've never said that about a gore-horror before. It actually kind of started to make me feel like a bad person just for having it on my TV screen, lol.

I've never actually watched any of those films but a friend told a group of us the whole movie like a story. I still had nightmares. From the story-telling version.
I also judged the friend who watched & enjoyed it. A lot.
Those films just can't sit right with some people. And by some people I mean me.
I watched them both really just to know what the movies were all about - conversation piece? I guess I just like to know shit, even the shitty shit. But to enjoy them?? Yeah, I would judge that person too, haha. I mean, actually, no... There is one aspect I totally understand, which would be the cinematic considerations. Like, the "film as art" aspect (and that is definitely a consideration for me). Even if it's completely sick and twisted, it still does have artistic value IMO, and a lot of people really enjoy the art of horror, myself included. So from that perspective, I get why people would watch these movies and appreciate these movies on some level. There is actually a lot of horrific nuance and interesting little cinematic details in both of them. Also, I am interested in art that really AFFECTS people emotionally. And these movies will definitely do that! Judging from just how completely FUCKED UP these movies are, especially the second one, I have to assume that the filmmaker (Tom Six) had a specific goal he wanted to achieve when making them, and that goal had to have been to make the most sick, twisted, demented movie he could possibly come up with. A movie that would horrify viewers as much as viewers can be horrified by a movie. I'd say mission accomplished, so good for him, lol. On that level, I might have to say that I enjoyed the movies myself.... although I had to skip some parts in the second one. It was just too disgusting at times. In the end, I suppose I have to say that I'm glad I watched them just to have the experience.

from the limited amount that I've heard of these movies, I think they'd make me throw up (which doesn't happen normally) or I'd have nightmares.

the subject matter just sounds so revolting.

Yeah, the subject matter is absolutely the most revolting thing I've ever seen. Of course, it's still fake. Many things in real life are still far more revolting than these revolting movies, just because those things are real, and these movies are just imaginary.
There is also one interesting aspect: The first movie is a horror movie. The second movie is about a really messed up guy who became obsessed with the original movie. The actress in the original movie is actually in the second one as her real life self and everything. So all other awful things aside, it's an interesting perspective.

Crimson Peak. It was ok, I was expecting more horror/ghosts than romance though.

It Follows - Average, not very scary.

Ex Machina - Wow amazing film, great story, great acting and visually stunning.

The Green Inferno. It was a long time coming for me to see this one being that I am a big horror fan. And while I wasn't left completely disappointed it wasn't as good as it could've been after all the hype and years of delay. Again also just like his other recent film Knock Knock the ending was crap and basically ruined the movie.

Not sure I would give it as good a review as that, but it was pretty good (i just watched it a couple of days ago). I really like to think about the moral implications of AI.

Probably the worst and my least favorite of the Halloween series, but it was on AMC so I watched it. Forgot Paul Rudd was in the movie.

This and Revenge are Kevin Costner's most underrated movies. Great performance from a young Elijah Wood.
