On another long-haul flight at the weekend:
    Inside Llewyn Davis
    Out Of The Furnace
    Cuban Fury
    Transcendence

Trying to fight through the jet lag yesterday:
    Elysium

I really enjoyed Inside Llewyn Davis, Out Of The Furnace and Cuban Fury. Transcendence was ok but could have been a lot better. Elysium was better than I was expecting

"La Vie d'Adèle", Palme d'Or 2013 (Cannes festival). I don't know if there is an english version of it but this is a very good film...it describes the Adele's life when she discovers her homosexuality. Simple, real, brutal sometimes but so true...

The fifth element ..good sci-fi with Bruce willis, based loosely around alien astronaut theory( lulu/annunaki etc) and Planet X well that's what thought anyway!
  • Draft Day. Put it on at about Midnight on Friday night....I guess what I can say is at least I stayed awake through the end. Pretty ridiculous conceptually and even though I like the actors it was pretty darn boring.

Oh man, I don't know if i could even handle watching that. It's pretty much NFL propaganda since the NFL let them use their logos and likeness.

No Cameras Allowed. Documentary about how this guy, Marcus, snuck into various music festivals. Reminded me of certain RF projects from old 10 club members. ;)

Watched parts of Goodfellas again this weekend. I cannot resist watching pieces while I watch something else and flipping back and forth during commercials.

Reminded me of old skool Kevin Smith writing. I was unable to focus on it 100% and I missed parts of the dialogue but I thought it was really good. Surprisingly so.

I loved that movie. Try Bobcat's other one, with Robin Williams as a father of a kid who hangs himself (strangely enough) --- World's Greatest Dad.

The World's End .... thought it was OK and then caught the end of Hot Fuzz about 15 minutes later and was reminded of just how far off the level of quality dropped from Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead.

Simon Pegg and Nick Frost were both cast in bad roles that didn't fit the persona very well and they didn't have the acting chops to pull through.

Have you seen Rush? Daniel Bruhl, Frederik Zoller in The Basterds plays Niki Lauda in it. Brilliant movie. You don't have to be a Formula 1 to enjoy it. Best movie I've seen this year
