yes, it's Stephanie Meyers. and i was really hoping my niece would be into them like i was at that age, but then again....i was a strange teenager so maybe it's good that she's not. i would read about Lestast and i swore he was real....i just didn't say that out loud. i do miss Lestat too...the brat prince, body switching, being a rockstar, etc....:D
I was about 20 when I first read interview w/the vampire...I was in love w/Lestat...but yeah I kept that to myself..that's not only dorky but kinda weird...but I never had any claim on normalcy.

you think thats geeky? back in the early 90s i read this book called vampires among us. it was basically about weird people in england :)who for whatever reason thought they were vamps. anyhoo one night during my reading of it i went to a basketball game at a small gym in the middle of parkland. to get there i had to get off at a train station, after a 2 hour trainride, that saw hardly any traffic of any kind. walk the streets in darkness, across a roadbridge and through the parkland to this rather rundown glorified shed. anyhoo on my return journey to the station after the game i felt this enormous feeling of strength. and to this day i believe it was because of that book. its not that i thought i was a vampire (cause that would make me ubergeeky) its just i felt untouchable.
hear my name
take a good look
this could be the day
hold my hand
lie beside me
i just need to say

its called vampires among us by rosemary ellen guiley. 1991. published by pocket books.
ISBN: 0-671-72361-8.
i have a thing for vampires. their strength, their vulnerability, their sensuality, the whole blood thing.
ah...thanks.
yeah, I do too...I used to watch old dracula movies..some of them were cheesy but I always was fascinated with them. I like how everyone puts there own spin on it. I think there is going to be a vampire series on showtime...that's kind interesting.

No need to be void, or save up on life...

I find an obsession and run with it until I feel I've either exhausted my interest or get distracted by something else.
I've spent many nights playing Mahjongg while fooling around with stichomancy using a music player.
I love places and will dig up data on just about anywhere.
I am in love with the keyword or tag search on Flickr.
People usually call me a dork or weird rather than geek.
Walking can be a real trip

but yes I have been called weird..I was always the bookworm when I was a kid. One kid used to call me spacegirl...lol..I dunno.
I feel so average in most arenas that I'm happy to wear those names as badges of honor!
The most difficult names I ever had to live down were thief (long story from being the new kid in a small town) and Waver (again, gained by being the new kid)
So, spacegirl,
Did you read a lot of scifi?

If being addicted to World of Warcraft is a geek I suppose that is me. Not online do I like playing it, I like the lore part of it. Which is just made up fantasy world stuff. But hey it is a fun thing to do.
