Sorry have to join in the Vampire chronicles geekdom :o:p I don't know anyone else that reads them :(

I've read them all (including the ones with the witches) but haven't read the Mayfair witches books.

you know my sister showed up at my house today and was speaking of the twilight series of books. apparently my niece is reading them. anyhoo she asks me if i ahve interview with the vampire cause she figures my niece who is 18 should read them. i couldnt help but laugh considering this discussion today. she looked at me like i was weird. i explained it to her but still i got 'the look'. the sad thing is though i have the vampire lestat and blackwood farm and blood and gold and all the other chronicles, but not as it turns out a copy of interview... :(

my niece is 15 and is into the Twilight series....i gave her the first 3 of the Vampire Chronicles and she can't seem to get into them. she's interested, it's just so much to read, but i'm sure at 18 it's much different. maybe my niece will grow into them.

and yeah, when i bring up the fact that something was mentioned on the Pit i get weird looks too...:o

I know someone who's into the twilight series..that's stephanie meyers right? I think the vampire chronicles may be too sophisticated for some younger people... I just love Anne Rice's writing though..I always hope she writes another vampire chronicle but I think she kind of put it too rest..:(...

    I miss Lestat...

    lol

lestat always made me laugh with his arrogance.tale of the body thief i loved caused it showed that arrogance up with perfection.

when vampires appear in my writing, the strongest one is always a female. :)

yes, it's Stephanie Meyers. and i was really hoping my niece would be into them like i was at that age, but then again....i was a strange teenager so maybe it's good that she's not. i would read about Lestast and i swore he was real....i just didn't say that out loud. :o;) i do miss Lestat too...the brat prince, body switching, being a rockstar, etc....:D

Are you a geek? Do your friends roll their eyes and shake their heads as you bore them rigid with monologues on your latest obsession? (except PJ, who could be bored by that? ;))
Do you obsess over things that others would find boring? Are you the kind of person that likes to discuss the whys and wherefores of everything?
for a long time I was obsessed with books on extreme mountain climbing and polar exploration... I still love them but it's been a while since I've uttered the drunken words 'but you don't understand... ' :o
