Washington Heights. Not a great neighborhood but cool venue. Only a one block sprint from the subway, ha.

Washington Heights. Its a bad neighborhood but the immediate surrounding area isnt that scary. i was there for a neil young show last year and the area wasnt as bad as i expected. it is very close to columbia presbyterian hospital, so there is a lot of activity which makes it a bit safer.

fuck people, you haven't seen a bad neighborhood till you've been to some sections of Hartford, or Harlem at night in general. I'm a fucking white boy who grew up around white people, and I found the Wash. Heights area to be pretty cool. Sure, some of it sucks, but every part of town does in sections to some extent, and Broadway is a main drag that you'll have nothing to worry about, being on it. I love goin down to my old college roommate's place (He's Dominican) and checkin out new things all the time. The fucking Dominican food is awesome around there too.

Oh and for that matter, the beloved shrine called Yankee Stadium is in a complete garbage dump area, and everyone in NYC loves to go there.
