I've started Christmas shopping already :o AND! The local shops already have mince pies on sale!

I have a list of things to purchase via the power of the internet and even have a list compiled of who's getting what this year. I know where i'll be and with who... I've NEVER been this organised about Christmas, EVER

I know it annoys the majority of people as it isn't even October yet but has anyone else started?

    just read your thread, sian.

 that's an early christmas shopping for you. am i included in your list? ;)

hehe! bless ya, you bloody shite :)

Ok, if you go to the Secret Santa thread ( http://forums.pearljam.com/showthread.php?t=304290 ) and read the instructions (ie. rules around when you have to be signed up by, when you have to dispatch the gift by etc) and then email Heineken Helen (our annual Santee Clause :D) on the email address she's given in the thread with your details (address, what kind of things you like, full name etc) then she and I will take half of the emails each and set up who's giving gifts to who. I'm merely a helper in this operation :o

and yes, this goes on every year... it's so much fun!! :D

I've no idea what to get my boyfriend for xmas. I should really start thinking about it! Plus we live together so it can't be too big, I won't be able to hide it!

Oh no, the present I got today isn't big, just his main prezzie :)

I've already got most of his. I only have to get two more things when I get paid next month and he's all done! :D

Then I can concentrate on other people's presents :o

Well, I'm working on a tight budget this year, but I managed to scoop some real bargains on stuff I KNOW he'll love :D
Now it's just a case of waiting on the postman to deliver all the goodies.

Btw, the big pressies I told you about for the kiddiwinks? Sorted

Thanks to a suggestion in the music thread, my two oldest nieces and my nephew will receive iTUNES gift cards. What a great idea, and they would definitely enjoy those gifts more than anything else I give them. I already bought something for another niece, and then I have 2 others to shop for. One will get a wii game, and the other an art project kit.

I'll give my twin a What Not to Wear or Ace of Cakes DVD set if they are available. I'll give my brother in law a cool tie. I'm knitting my parents scarves. Out of state siblings and their spouses don't get stuff. However, I'm really in the mood already, and they may receive holiday inspired coffee mugs. My sister in Holland asked that we not send her stuff.

Next year everyone gets handknit socks including out of state siblings and their spouses. I'm going to start knitting those gifts in January so that I'm done in time. There is nothing like wearing handknit socks in uber cool colors. I'm knitting a pair for my brother's bday, and I think he'll really like them. They are gorgeous autumn colors. Perfect for his birthday. When I see him at Thanksgiving I'll give them to him then.
