I've started Christmas shopping already :o AND! The local shops already have mince pies on sale!

I have a list of things to purchase via the power of the internet and even have a list compiled of who's getting what this year. I know where i'll be and with who... I've NEVER been this organised about Christmas, EVER

I know it annoys the majority of people as it isn't even October yet but has anyone else started?
Been to this many PJ shows: Reading 2006 London 2007 Manchester & London 2009 Dublin, Belfast, London, Nijmegen & Berlin 2010 Manchester 1 & Manchester 2 2012...

... and I still think Drive-By Truckers are better.

I used to but I'm REALLY looking forward to it this year. My big bro got married last month so it'll be my first Christmas with my sister in law, My mum turns 60 on Christmas day, I have someone I'm absolutely crazy about to celebrate with and his family have made me feel so welcome that i'm really looking forward to seeing them too! :o

Next to your name? A poke in the eye with a sharp stick... but remember! It'll cost me fortune to get to you... It's the thought that counts ;)

Good idea to start thinking of Secret Santa again for the pit.....This year I won't limit myself to a US member only! I had someone from Berlin send me something last year and it was awesome.
Thank you fellow 10 clubber for saving my ass....again!!!

That's why a lot of people are getting personal stuff that I've drawn or painted this year ;)

That and interwebs shopping is easy :o

I have to admit though, although i'm not a fan of shopping at that time of year, I popped into town on my own on Christmas eve last year in my scarf and gloves to get a couple of bits. I listened to Into The Wild, it was dark and all the lights were on, everyone was in a great mood and you could smell Christmas in the air. I went to starbucks and got a cinnamon and chocolate coffee to take away the cold... I've never felt so Christmassy :o

I usually end up getting everything online.
I have never had a good experience with christmas shopping, everyone always seems to be so stressed and in such a rush.

oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

not christmas, but i did already buy a birthday present for my niece whose birthday is in december. it's a killer month for me - christmas, and birthdays of my mom, sister, sister-in-law and two nieces!
  • I was going to say it not even Halloween yet....but...dude...it's still September!

This type of thing can only be resolved by a quiet room, a couch and $100 dollars....no sex unfortunately. :D

What is a mince pie? My Grandma used to make mince meat pies, but I didn't like them. I'm not even sure they had meat in them, but maybe they did.

Mince pies don't have meat in them these days

They are one of the most traditional Christmas things here ... and what we leave out for Santa ;) Those and Christmas crackers were missed when I had Christmas in the US.

I haven't started shopping yet but always make sure I'm finished by the end of November.
So are we strangers now? Like rock and roll and the radio?

I love mince pies, and I had no idea that Cromwell made it illegal to eat them on Christmas day! I wonder if that law still stands... hmm...

I wanna be done by the end of November, that way I can focus on my mum's birthday and relaxing in December :)

That is what my grandma made. I think she made it with raisans. I don't think she used suet though. I thought that was something one put in bird feeders. I probably wouldn't eat it then because of all the raisans. I would probably like it now.
