First you insult a disfigured man and then you call me a fool. Your x-mas bounty is getting smaller by the second.

Oh, don't panic. I wont get away with it, I too at some point will have the dubious 'pleasure' of trawling the '3 for 2' section in Boots
I just flatly refuse to pretend to be excited about buying deodorant kits for 20 something year old nephews who, quite frankly, should by now have a job and be buying their own.

And just as everyone else here does, I too will also settle down on chrissie night and look down upon my pile of new socks, grundies, Lynx Africa and the standard ill fitting odd choice of sweater from my mother, and think silently to myself......"cheap bastards! "

I have to log off and let Dave on now but I'm not done with you yet...

    Byes peeps! :) x

you may have hit upon part of the problemo, you see the job I've been doing for the last ahem ahem years, only gives 2 days :( and that is after the most insanely busy 2 or 3 weeks of the year :( maybe that's why I don't go for it? Well, it's part of it I think. But this year.....different....different....different :D

I'm the same. We only officially get two days but I always take a few days holiday to make it at least a week ... and the month before hand is the busiest of the year working long hours.

I hate all the commercialism involved in Christmas, but I won't let that take away the joy of it for me. I like spending time with my family, as it isn't often I get to see them all in one place at the same time. I really like buying gifts for people, but i'm not so bothered about the receiving of them (i've been told by someone recently that i'm hard to buy for :p). I love the weather around Christmas time, it just makes it feel really special to me. There are a lot of good things about Christmas, you've just got to look quite hard for them and sift through all the crap that most people associate with it.

Cheer up you grumpy old git! ;)

I also meant to say that i'm really looking forward to spending my first Christmas with Sian...BUT she kept talking at me and making me lose my train of thought.
