I don't know if it is PC to say Secret Santa Helen.
    How about Surprise Holiday Fairy?

And Sian, what is next to my name? I have a pair of leopard print heels with a red sole next to your name.

    I love Chrimbo :D

Wait, who's the grinch? Am I the grinch? Well, after getting nothing in my stocking but a lump of poo for the last 30 years, I'm a little put off by the whole thing...

    Why is that our fault????
What is next to my name on your list?

Next to yours is an awesome NorthFace jacket with cool pockets.
And those handwarmer things to keep your hands warm.

Alright, it isn’t your fault. I blame Santa and his incredibly, possibly unrealistically, high expectations for human decency. Thank you for the jacket and hand warmers; they will come in handy on my next reindeer hunting expedition to the North Pole.

I’m thinking about getting you a pair of matching 9 millimeters with mother of pearl grips. I want to see if you are as sexy with guns on your hips as Laura Croft.

I thought you would like a new coat for camping.

make me feel like a damn slacker haha

i'm gonna get started next month, i do a lot of shopping online and now discovering etsy, i'll be hitting that up for some nice handmade gifts too :) i DETEST malls, especially around holiday-time, people get so manic and act like jerkoffs, it takes away from the true meaning of the holidays for me. i want the holidays to be on my terms. F the bastards lol

They wouldn't be real guns. I'd never give anyone I know a real gun. I'm almost certain that I'd be the first thing they shoot.

Alright, alright, no pearls or guns... back to drawing board.

And I guess I won't hunt any reindeer either, but Santa better come through for a change...

Maybe you should give peace and goodwill a chance and write a letter to santa.
But I am with Sian, I am starting soon!

    I actually did start.

I think I'm trying to put things in my head to help me make time go by quicker and have something to look forward to.

I'm just hoping I make it home for Christmas this year.

'Make it home'? Where are you?

Try making a list of what you're gonna buy people. That's what i've done, it's whittled away many hours and plus, when I think about them, I think how much I can't wait to see their face when they get my present this year :o

I'm really not that far from home considering how big our planet is, I'm up in Washington State. Only 1200 miles from home. However there hasn't been any light at the end of the tunnel as to when I'll be released from the job site up here so I can go back home and work in my home office. I miss my dogs, my family, and some, just some, of my friends. :p There was a little light that I would be going home on Halloween, but that ended up to be some kind of legal formality that they had to give me a date, but what was the point if they can just delay it anyway?

They're hoping before Thanksgiving now. But I've been hearing this since it started with, "we're hoping by labor day weekend."

    aw man, i'm sorry :(

It blows when a company can hold things like leaving dates over your head like that, it's not even as though you can make plans because you don't know when you'll actually be going back :(

I'll keep everything crossed for you that you get home for at least Thanksgiving... and definately Christmas. Can't have your doggies missing their dad on Christmas day now can we? ;)

What do you do that has you hauled up 1200 miles from home?

I'm a control sys/elec designer for a grass roots solar grade plant. The company I work for has offices all over the place, but I do my designs back in CA at one of our home offices there. But I'm at the jobsite now supporting construction as commisioning will be starting soon and they needed more support to get the walk downs/loop checks complete. So I go to wherever the client chooses to build and that's how I got stuck here. When I was hired I was told that many of their employees, at least half, will go through their career without travelling, that it's a special thing for the "higher ups" so to speak and that opportunities trickle down, but usually never make it to some of the newer people or others that just don't want to travel. I said I don't mind making business trips, I'll go wherever. And I've been at the company a year and a half, and well I've been travelling for about a third of that time. :p

Either I'm doing something right, or a lot of people they interview don't like to travel so they have to talk it down some haha.

But this trip has somewhat turned into a relocation. I started going back and forth through April and May, then went for a couple weeks in June, then was here permanently in July until what they deem is the end of our responsibility over the sub-contractors.

Oh, and thanks for your crossed fingers. I'll take what I can get. :)

Well, good luck in it and as I said, I'll keep everything crossed so that you can spend Christams with your family this year, where you belong :)
